Hi All,

I am planning to apply for TRV this November, my wife is not working and she doesnt have any travel history. what are the chances of acceptance and is it a good time to apply, really appreciate some of your feedback plzz help :-[
Talking about TRV, do you have any idea of the time it is suppose to take from the moment you send the request until you get an answer from them ? Because I've been waiting for 2 months and half now for mine.... hubby is also unemployed at the moment.

Just to tie everything up, went through the land border today. All I had to do was initial and sign the two copies of the COPR.

The one with my photo was kept and will be for the application of the card.

The other was stapled in to my passport. Literally no questions other than confirming my address. Went to Service Canada and had my SIN within 30 mins.

Good luck all!

You were so lucky, man. My application has been on DM for over a month with no email or PPR or COPR in the mail. Waiting and waiting...
My app was processed in Ottawa, but I called and he said DM could stay like that for awhile..

Wow, that is crazy. I wonder what is taking them so long. I hope you're holding up okay. Have you been able to link your account to myCIC? I believe it should say there whether or not the application has been approved rather than just saying Decision Made.

Hi,
I applied to Sponsor my wife, I got an email requesting a proof of intent to return to Canada, Police clearance, 2 photos and Passport, VO: Cairo - Egypt.

regarding intent to return to Canada, I provided the following:
1. Opened bank account
2. Show that I have enough money to live with my family for one year
3. flat, jobs, medical insurance, shipping searches and communication
4. My B.Sc. degree accredited by WES (World Education Services)
5. My plan till travel
6. My plan after reaching Canada
7. Why I want to go to Canada

Do you thinks this is enough?
Is the request of photos and passport is a good sign?

Thanks

Yes its a good sign Muh* ..
Just provide all the prove you will get your visa instantly

Congratulations Really happy for you. I hope it will be my turn soon.

Just an update, not sure if this has happened to anybody else but I thought it's worth mentioning. I landed in Calgary on September 10th 2016. On September 27th I received an email from IRCC requesting that I send 2 new photographs in order for my PR card to be issued. The letter explained that the photograph I handed to the IO upon landing did not meet the specifications required to produce my card. So I immediately went out and had 2 new photographs printed - at a cost of $25. I sent them tracked post at a cost of $18. They were received in Sydney, Nova Scotia on October 14th. And what happens yesterday? I received my PR Card with my original photograph that was sent upon landing. So now I'm £43 out of pocket. Word to the wise, if you receive an email from IRCC asking that you send new photographs, you have 90 days to do so, maybe wait a few weeks in case you do actually receive your PR Card.

they requested the ppt via email. we have to send in the passport and passport size photos by handing into the visa application centre (vac) near us. they will send it to the visa office. after the vo is done they will send it back to the vac.
