Just an update, not sure if this has happened to anybody else but I thought it's worth mentioning. I landed in Calgary on September 10th 2016. On September 27th I received an email from IRCC requesting that I send 2 new photographs in order for my PR card to be issued. The letter explained that the photograph I handed to the IO upon landing did not meet the specifications required to produce my card. So I immediately went out and had 2 new photographs printed - at a cost of $25. I sent them tracked post at a cost of $18. They were received in Sydney, Nova Scotia on October 14th. And what happens yesterday? I received my PR Card with my original photograph that was sent upon landing. So now I'm £43 out of pocket. Word to the wise, if you receive an email from IRCC asking that you send new photographs, you have 90 days to do so, maybe wait a few weeks in case you do actually receive your PR Card.
