Hi everyone :)
Is there a May spreadsheet?

Hello! Do you have any idea how much it will cost my husband if he used a representative for the whole processing plus the consulation fee? any estimated cost will do. Thank you!

Did your husband/wife do the application process all by themselves or did they use or ask for a representative/consultant to do it? Because we are thinking that maybe it is hard for him to do it all by his self. any suggestions or recommendations please :(

I'm the sponsor and my husband and I did everything on our own, without the services of an attorney or representative. I think whether you need to consult a professional or not depends on the complexity of your case. Ours is straightforward so it's not really difficult to answer the form or obtain the required documents. There's also clear step-by-step instructions on the CIC web site on how to answer the questions.

That being said, I have no idea how much consultants charge.

Consultants can cost thousands of dollars. In most cases using a consultant or lawyer is pointless and a waste of money. Do you have any criminal history? Do you have red flags in your relationship like a very large age gap (15-20+ years)? Is the woman older? Have you been together a very short time? Did you marry when you first met each other? or any other things that would be considered very out of the ordinary, for your culture especially? If not, you probably don't need a consultant or lawyer.

That's strange. Our applications were received the same day and I got my SA three days ago. Which country is your sponsored applicant from? Is it a visa exempt one?

Hello everybody, I'm waiting on the SA as well. Our timeline:

Application received: May 17th
AOR1: June 10th

Waiting on the SA

Someone mentioned that an application which would have normally been processed in New Delhi was sent to the Ottawa VO. Were there any special circumstances that may have contributed to this?

Good Luck to everyone!

Thanks for response.
Have they submitted file on or around May 5th?

Filed May 2nd. Received sa June 3rd. But it got the letter in the mail June 16. Maybe it's on it's way!

Based on that, your part of the application will most likely be processed in New Delhi after sponsorship approval, but there recently has been one person from New Delhi forwarded to Ottawa, ON, so it's possible.

Good luck ;D.
Thank you decoy..

Did you check your husband's email? Spam messages? Or maybe they won't give you AOR1, just SA directly. Just wait and pray. ☺
