However, it seems that almost everyone's case passed the average waiting period for SA.

The standard waiting time for Spousal Approval as per CIC is 43 days (I assume this is business days). One APRIL2016 applicant is on his 41 days of waiting. He called CIC and was advised to wait until you pass the 43 days.

Hi. They received my application on May 9 but still no update. I will give them a call after 40-45 days just to make sure they are working on it and hoping they just missed to sent us emails. Good Luck!

My application was successfully delivered and it was received by "R MAHMOOD"

Don't worry. When mine was signed by R. Mahmood, most of the applications around mine were being signed by other people and I was one of the only ones signed by this person. They have multiple people who sign for applications. I guess it just depends on who's picking up the mail that day.

You can check it here: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

You can use sponsor or primary applicant's information. In my case, it only works when I used my husband's info (primary applicant) with application number that I got from AOR1.
