I'm in the same boat. May 20th applicant and haven't heard anything yet. Wait until you've hit day 43 and you can call CIC and inquire about your application status. Some people don't receive AOR1 and only hear something once they've gotten SA.

Any update on your application yet? or you able to access ecas with receipt number?

My application was received on 25th May and NO AOR1 YET .... cannot access ecas

Also guys stop worrying about SA (looks like they are sending it over mail, which takes time / if past 50 days call customer service they will give you the good news (looks like average times for SA is 50 days in contrast to what website says 43 days))

My app was received on 25th April . Yet to get SA MAIL or letter , but called cic and got to know it was approved on 14th June .

i gave a call to cic this morning they said its in review by officer... so am worrying and i sent medicals along with application its not showing in ecas as well

No, I haven't heard anything yet. It's disheartening, but I hope that it just means I will get SA soon, instead! My 43 calendar days will be July 2nd, which is a Saturday, so I'll call Monday the 4th if I don't hear anything before then.

Hi ananya . Need not worry on Medicals, for few it gets updated after the application is in process, even ecas for me is showing just app received, it's normal. And yeah I hope by this week your SA Will be approved , since they have already started viewing the application,

thank you so much fr u r reply... i had one more doubt ,, my wife residential address and home address changed to usa address automatically when applied trv from usa... before home address is in india after sa which visa office will process my wife application , india or ottawa

I'm not sure if people who are trying to access the spouse Ecas did enter the UCI with(-) or without. You might try to do that maybe it will work!
I'm still without update since my app was received May 3,2016. I got the app # from an agent 4 weeks ago. I'm not checking the CIC site anymore as it will only create more stress.

Remember UCI number will be different for spouse and sponsor. For accessing ECAS for spouse, try with app number or reciept number. No need to stress, sometimes, its not even worth checking ECAS.

My UCI never had dashes(-) so I don't know where to place the dash(-). ;D

Mine has a dash xxxx-xxxx the agent confirmed that it was the same uci i used for any application to the CIC.
Patience it's the key to everything....

46 days have elapsed since CIC received my sponsorship app of my US spouse and we are awaiting SA. I called CIC today around 8am and got through within 3 minutes. The rep was pleasant and checked the status of the SA. She said there were no updates and since the processing time has passed (43 days) she said she sent a message to the Mississauga office to provide me with an update on the SA i.e., an email or letter and that I need to just wait for correspondence from them.

May 5 applicant, called cic today , told me that no SA yet. But he sent a mag reminder to visa officer he said.

Guys In my personal opinion we do not have to worry about SA and ECAS because 90+% on this forum thread still waits for SA and cannot log intro ECAS. So basically we all in the same boat. If you see that almost everybody already got their SA and you are still not then call CIC but there is no need to call them if you see that there are hundreds people like you. Lets be patient and hope for the best.
