Hello Everyone!
I've finally found the forum re May 2015 outland applications! I'm so happy.
I'm from Chile and I'm being sponsored by my Canadian husband :)
Who is updating the timeline spreadsheet for May apps? I would like to be included if possible!
We sent our app in May 5th
Our app was received in Miss on May 8th
Medicals done upfront.
AOR 1 received on June 9th
SA received on July 13th
App transferred to Mexico City VO on July 13th
AOR2 received on September 30th

My app status still says Application Received. I only have 2 lines, one that says app received on May 8th and that the medical results have been received.

Since the last letter (September 30th) I haven't heard anything else about my app!

Good luck to everyone!

Welcome, csanti!

You are actually able to add yourself to the spreadsheet! (The link is in my signature at the bottom of my post.) Scroll to the bottom of it, and input your information they require. ;) If you need help doing it, let me know and I will add you, but you can absolutely do it yourself if you want.

Hopefully you'll see your application status change to in progress, soon. Some people's ecas never changes to In Progress; sometimes it goes straight from Application Received to Decision Made. I'm not saying yours will do that, but ecas isn't always the most accurate way to see what the status of your application is.

If you're curious, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_E_dq_uLVo">you can order GCMS notes.</a> GCMS notes are a digital copy of your entire file, including notes from CIC officers who review your case. You'll be able to see where they are with your application, what's been looked at, what happens, etc. They take 30 days to receive once you order them, and $5 if you're not currently in Canada. They'll be emailed to you, and you can review everything with the help of guides or others in the forum.

I'm hoping to get a copy of my GCMS notes this week to see where my application is. It keeps me sane!

Welcome and let us know if you have any more questions! :P

Thanks Ineffable!
I'll add myself, no worries!
I think I'll order those notes....I'm quite curious and an impatient person hahahaha
Please, let us know in which stage is your app once you received the GCMS so we can compare ourselves!

I have a question re the GCMS...I understand my husband and I we both have to sign the documents...is that correct?
Because I'm not in Canada I was thinking of sending my husband the documents with my signature (by email... a scanned copy) and then he can print it and signs it as well. Do you think it will work?

Cheers!

Only the applicant needs to sign the consent form.

As Andrew-Brit said, only you need to sign the form. I print it, sign it, and scan it to a PDF, then upload where they ask for it.

I'll let everyone in this May thread know what my notes say when I get them. I know Cali2BC, who's also a May applicant, ordered hers a week or two after me, so hopefully some will find the information useful.

What is your VO location? (Chile?) You might be able to find a specific thread for that VO, too, which can be even more insightful than even this.

Hi there!
No, my specific VO is Mexico! Chile doesn't process PR anymore which is amazing since the average time here was 26 months hahahahah Mexico says 17, which I still find it a long timeeeeee... I'm sure my app is routine but you never know!
I'm part of that Forum as well...I just wanted to compare my VO with other, to see if I'm going okay with the times or if I'm far behind the rest that also applied in May.
In the Mexico forum there are only a couple that apply in May...
I don't know, I think we benefit from everyone experiencing our same situation, don't you think?!!

Best wishes to everyone!

Hi everyone
I just checked ecas and have DM on our application! I applied May 29, got SA July 27 and in process Aug 6.

Congrats! What happens now is you get to update your Ottawa spreadsheet so your line turns green. :) And wait for the official decision.

I got my DM today!!!!!

I'm just so excited!

I was:

Rec on May 25th

SA on July 20th

In Process on July 27th (but 3rd line on ECAS showed up on Aug 8th)

DM on Nov 7th!

Also, I never got any batch emails. So for any of those out there who were nervous because you didn't get any, it's all okay :D

Thanks to everyone on here, you've definitely made this process easier!

Hi everyone so just an FYI we called CIC a couple times now to try to find out if our app was approved after we got DM a few days ago and here's how it went. The first officer wouldn't tell me anything. But just now we got another guy who said it was APPROVED! YAYYYYY. He told us on the phone.

So now waiting for COPR and happy and thanks for everyone's help and good luck.
