Received last Friday my CoPR! YAY! Never thought that I would get it this year...

If I would have known it, I wouldn't have applied for extension here in CA... As Vegreville (Case Processing Centre) is working only on Application received in June (I sent it in August) I'm not sure if I will get problems when I leave CA to get my letter of CoPR (they send it to my home country)... I only have the receipt of my payments... Does anyone know sth how I should prepare when leaving the country?

I know that my parents could send it over, but I want to go for a short vacation back home.

Need advise

Here is our timeline:
App sent received in Mississauga May 19, 2015
Sponsor approved July 13, 2015
App received in Visa office in July 20 2015 - Status changed to In process
Medical was upfront
Passport request on Aug 6, 2015 and they received on Aug 10
So far no decision made in our case and the passport has been with them for almost 2 months.

Should I start inquiring about the status of the application? Please advise.

I am an april applicant and my husband passport was shbmiyted june 31, 2015 at CEM...no AOR2 blahblah!!!.....and sept 5, ecas update that my applicatiobn was "in process"...its 3months to be exact...

I emailed CEM for atleast 3-6 times for the past 2 months...and they always say that its always within processing time whichis 19months i guess for Philippibes....

I know how u feel.
But don't lose hope...
We will get it one day...in Gods favored time!!!

Today my ECAS changed to IN PROCESS and that Dakar VO has started processing on July 22nd. Hopefully I get passport request soon.

Before now, my status was just 2 lines:

1. App recvd on May 5th
2. Medical results received

And today a 3rd line was added:

3. Started processing on July 22nd.

Hopefully u will see some updates soon too.

Just checked my application on Eva's. Says we have gone into process wooooo. Movement. May 20th applicant. From uk going through Ottawa.

My application went IP as well, saying they started processing July 6th.

Hoping that it's not a batch update considering so many others went IP today. How cruel would that be?

My PR application is also getting into IP too.


We received XXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on May 19, 2015.
We started processing XXXXXXXX's application on July 27, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

Got the third line today as well!! In Process today, showing that they started processing July 16 through Dar es Saalam!

I went IP today, too.

ECAS says they started processing my application on July 6. The case notes I ordered in late August showed nothing was yet started, so I'm going to assume they actually started processing it this past week.

Congrats to the other IPs. Let's hope for swift DMs.

Gosh, I really hope so! That would be awesome! It doesn't make sense that they would update your file, but then not actually start processing it. Unfortunately though, based on my notes, it looks like that was exactly what happened to my file. I went IP on August 6, even though they started processing mine on July 14. My notes were ordered after IP, and nothing was done on my file. I'm really hoping that it's not the case for you!
