Cic processing for SA now at 57 days :o

Hi toffboss
This 57days are number of days since you got your AOR? Or since you submittedyour application. Thanks you

Hello everyone !

"we sent correspondance on June 30 about the decision of your application"

Since the "application was received" date.

Im still waiting for my SA. Was just stating that the processing time from CIC website is now at 57 days. Previously it was 55 days. Sorry for the confusion

No need to worry - "decision made" is almost always a good thing, (unless there is an obvious reason that your sponsor would not be approved) and you're receiving it at an expected time based on the processing times. Did you include an email address in your application? If you did but did not receive an email, then CIC probably just felt like using snail mail. That has happened before.

No obvious reason why my husband wouldn't be approved to sponsor me. We did provide emails but figured they'd send it by snail mail. =] I read somewhere they usually only email (besides AOR) if you are missing something ?

this whole thing has just turned me into a huge worry wart !

You're likely fine! They claim to have been working on applications from May 4th on June 23rd (which we know isn't true since they updated the site on July 2nd to say that; they're just behind).

Makes perfect sense you'd get a DM about SA. They may not have gotten to mine the same day as yours. Yours might be at the top of the May 5th pile, and mine might be somewhere below that.

98% of SAs are approved (or something near that).

Did you check it on ecas or get the email for the DM about SA?

Finally May applicants are getting their SAs. I'm excited. Expecting ours around 12-15th of July.

Lets keep our hopes high! Been checking my Ecas from t ime to time. Any day from now. Fingers crossed!!!

At what point can we call to check the status of our application?

I'm a May 5th applicant, but it shows working on May 4th as of June 23rd (or working on applications at 57 days). I'm beyond the 57 days, but I'm not sure if the date (May 4th) is the important number of the actual days that have passed.

Input? (And a phone number if you have it!)

It would be 57 days from the 'application received' date. Since I am May 8th and its been over 57 days I'll be calling later today or tomorrow to inquire as it is past their stated processing time. The number to call would be the standard call center number at 1-888-242‑2100.

Thanks, Spinning_Sponsor! Going to do the same then. Good luck! ;D

Good news! Called the CIC, and our SA was approved! They couldn't give me the date it was approved but said we'd receive an email or letter in the mail in the next 10 days.

Hopefully other May applicants will see SA soon. I do recommend calling the CIC once your supposed processing time date has passed.

;D
