I don't totally agree with you. I think as soon as cic in Sydney finishes sending AoRs to all pre-June 11 applicants, we gonna see more speedy process. It is slow now cause of the high number of applicants applied late May/Early June to beat off the deadline. The next year we have very few applicants eligible to apply plus cic promises to finish our cases(post April 1) in less than 12 months. This is my humble analysis to what's gonn happen in the coming few weeks!
Why did you forget to mention the trip to Paris and Egypt the CIC staff in Sydney are taking on July 22 for 3 weeks ? :P

This is an additional factor " summer vacations" lol

Back from vacation and just finished reading all the replies lol --- took a while and it looks like all were updated on the spreadsheet *thumbs up*

Congrats to everyone who got their AoRs and In Process.

Congrats to all AOR recipients...and good luck to all who are still in waiting lounge. Hopefully by this Friday, most will board the flight.

The website is up and running again. :)

We decided to resubmit just my application for the time being. I sent this off on Friday via Xpresspost and was received on Monday (yesterday). Anyone know how long I should expect to wait for an update? Another 2 months? :S

Hi all,

I got the dreaded brown envelope in the mail today... puts me in a bit of a pickle...

According to the letter attached, my application was considered complete... but returned to me because my wife's application was not considered complete (somehow I missed the fact that she accidentally signed in the wrong box on the application. It was my job to check the forms :( ).

Apparently I have 3 options:

- Resubmit my old application with family members who meet the new requirements (my wife doesn't meet the new requirements, so this option doesn't count)
- Resubmit my own application, and it'll be processed according to the old law (pre- June 11th).
- Wait until we both meet the requirements under the new law.

This is obviously very frustrating, especially that it's my fault for not checking the application fully. Should I submit without her? Will this cause any issues later on? She has about 13 months until she's eligible under the new law.

Also, for those who have resubmitted... should I just send back what they sent me, with a cover letter? Totally confused tbh, since we paid for the application together, and if I apply on my own, we'll also need a partial refund.

:o

I received my AOR yesterday evening too and updated the spreadsheet.

Most likely another two months. Depends how fast/slow CIC is by the time they start processing July 2015 applicants.

Hello Folks,

This is my first posting here. I got my AOR today. My application was received on May 25th. I was my under impression that my package may have been returned. AOR was a attachment with links to study guide for test and requirements for english language.

Congratulations wow. Tell me please ? Is this true that the AOR comes in green Colour ? :P

My E-CAS is activated but no AoR yet!

On my E-CAS which appeared yesterday for the first time, It's written "received 0n 27-5-2015" but no mention of AoR.
Please what does that mean?

Congratulations to all who received AORs!

I just got mine too!!! I'm so happy!!! Yeeeey :)

I'm assuming you clicked on the word 'Received" next to your name and you saw a line that says "We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on Month dd, yyyy."

Most applicants also have a 2nd line that says "We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on Month dd, yyyy."
This is because they received an email saying that the application has been received. This email is the AOR.

For most applicants Ecas becomes active a few days after they receive their AOR. Yours is active now.

Applicants whose files were received up until 29th May have had their AORs.....maybe call the call centre and check.
