yeah, i was thinking the same thing. although, usually by the time i get to the border, it's not "normal" travel time. usually, if people are crossing for vacation, they are going in the AM.

If you haven;t received any email from CIC, then it means they sent you by snail mail. Also check your junk mail just in case.
Status will be changed to DM after your SA is approved.

Did you specify an email address in the application? If you have not received anything even when after you specified an email address, perhaps its worth a try to call them up and confirm once, because they do not send the letter through both means - either email or snail mail, not both. And only one message is sent out. If you haven't specified an email address, then as jammv said, wait for the mail to come, it could be good news!

;D ;D ;D

Hey guys!

My wife just received the AOR from her visa office (Bogota), they sent her a letter that the application was received at the Bogota office

August 7th 2014,

I'm still waiting for my CSQ but I guess it was already received in CIC

WOOO!!! Just checked my application status and they updated it to "Medicals Received".. Things are moving along :D

Based on my spouse's conversation with CIC looks like I'm not gonna get my SA anytime soon. Apparently they have now told him it's based on when they received my missing document which was in July so it's as if I sent my application in July. I don't know if they will look at it after the 45 days but I've lost hope now. I was stressing out about it so much lately but now realize things happen for a reason so no more stressing..

Case Specific Enquiry for visa office is not working...
If I want to change my address and send additional documents via emails, how do I do that?

if you've gotten SA, use the information provided on the SA letter about contacting your visa office. also, you can sign into ecas and chang it there. i've heard it's important to do both, as it's not guarantee the change online will make it to the file.

Hi everyone wondering if someone can help me with my question..my hubby's criminal check has expired in the process , do you think the VO will ask for another?

it's hard to say. there are some applicants who are asked to send in another police check, and there are some that don't. the "rule" is if the application was recived by cic within 90 days of the date listed on the record, then it will be valid. only time will tell if CIC asks you for another one. it may be dependant on the visa officer processing the file.

Thank you!! I guess we will wait and see!
