COPR arrived today. Cant believe it. Hubby will be landing August 30th.....Thanks to everyone for your help....I'll let you know how the landing goes.

Thankfully for me, my sister also had gotten her husband via PR, so the immediate family understands the process well. But, my grandmother...she is another story. She gets down to "So, why don't you want to be with your wife? Whats wrong honey?". I can only say grandma, don't worry, all will be fine one day ;D

buttar, I think that's a standard letter of AOR from NDVO. They say IF you haven't submitted, submit PCC and Right of Landing receipt. But, we all have done that already I presume. Some are choosing to relax, while the paranoid ones like me are replying to that email saying "Here's the soft copy of PCC and Payment Receipt. Hope they aren't missing. Please let us know if you need originals again.". Regarding medicals not being received, I think you just have to wait till they send a message that your medicals are missing, or perhaps they will update saying they were properly received. Don't worry, if you didn't miss anything while submission, you will be okay. Sometimes they are a bit late with things, as we all know

Hi Cutiepie..i was wondering why our spreadsheet doesnt have a color code like other spreadsheets so its easier to identify what is the status of each applicants..

I think if all of simply update our own statuses with color coding as indicated in row#1 then our spreadsheet too should like bright like other threads. Or, one of us could take some time out, sort and color code each row as per status.

Hi all!

We received our returned application package from CIC with the cover letter stating that form IMM 5285 is missing from our application and, thus, it is incomplete. We have spoken with the CIC call center and one of the agents has confirmed that this form is NOT necessary for an Outland application so we're preparing to repackage our application to send in again. Of course we're going to include a cover letter pointing out the error and we're also going to request that we be put back in our original line since our application was pulled out due to their error (who knows if this will actually happen, though).

However, two forms have been updated since we initially sent our application in May. IMM 5008 and IMM 5008DEP. We have no dependents so that one is easy, but do you think we should just mail our previous application back without the updated forms, particularly since we're requesting that we be treated as though our application was never returned in the first place since the error was on their part? Or should we include the updated forms and, thus, be bumped to the back of the line?

include the updated form. you don't know what they will do with your application, so you can't assume including an updated version of the form will bump you to the end of the line. it's better to have the latest form than not.

My hubby read you post and now he is in a panic about the landing interview. I told him just don't get arrested between now and then

he's been approved by cic... there is no "passing" the landing interview. the last thing CIC does is the security check, so assuming he doesn't commit a felony between the copr getting issued and landing, i think he'll be fine. i for one have to answer yes to one of the questions that will be asked. it doesn't mean i will not "pass" the interview and be refused. while yes, of course i'm sure refusals"can" happen. it doesn't mean it does. CIC has higher standards for entry than CBSA does, so if CIC approves someone, CBSA has no reason to question it.

Yes, I know he'll be fine......he just gets nervous at the border...I've crossed so many times that some of the border guards know me by sight.

yeah i know the feeling. i don't think i will be able to sleep until i officially land. i've also been at the border many times (and mostly secondary), they actually said to me once, "you're not new to immigration, are you?" i laughed.
