Guys, I got my SA this morning!!! Yay!!!!!! Finally ;D Thanks much for all your emotional support guys! Its nice that you guys helped me stay positive :)

@ lsturtle - I understood its not an official AOR because official AORs have file number on the top. Mine didn't. I checked on the forum, and apparently, others who called also received the same AOR-type letter, but with no file number on top. Also, the subject of the email was "Re:", indicating that it was a reply for my enquiry that the agent initiated.

Also, apparently the trend now is that they are not sending AORs any more - its straight to SA.

I'm quite much happy right now! Yay!

Congratulations.....Happy for you......finally they sent your SA..

Hello!

I'm new here, I don't know what to do, so can someone help me?
I came to Vancouver in June 2011, I met my boyfriend ( Canadian) in Feb 2012, we started living together in June 2013, my visa here was as a student with work permit, and it expired on March 2014, but before I started a LMO process with my last job, but because we wouldn't be able to apply before my visa expired, That's because the process was not ready, so we sent them a work permit extension before it expired. But while I was waiting and getting ready to send my application, the program was put on hold by the immigration, so my boyfriend and I decided to apply for Common-law because now we are Living together for 1 year, But i lost my status, because my work permit was refused, so now I have to apply for a Restoration of status, because my 90 days is almost over, and my documents for the common law is not ready, I don;t know if I apply inland or outland, I'm scared to apply for outland, living in Canada and my restauration of status be denied and I have to leave, I wanna stay here with my boyfriend, I don't know what to do.

Yeah, that sucks. Good for June people I guess though. But, I am beginning to think there is no good progress tracking over there. Unless they are waiting for some document to arrive for a case, shouldn't they finish on first-come-first-serve basis? And when the missing document does arrive, shouldn't they prioritize the delayed case rather than move on to newer cases?

Regarding May applicants not receiving SA yet... Taking into account the processing times really is longer than 55 days, I also vaguely remember from one of the threads that if there were missing documents and CIC requested them, it could take another 45 days from the time they receive them to make a decision :( So if that is the case, then that could explain the longer processing time for some applicants :(

I completely agree on the first come first serve basis and they should prioritize the delayed cases too. But it is what it is... lol I'm just stressed out because my visa is going to expire and I never ever expected that at this point I'd still have no SA approval or anything.

I read that too but there seriously should be consistencies as to how they manage and handle these cases too. Some people have missing documents but the delay is minimal where as others have much larger delays too :(.
Those that are still waiting for SA's for May we can only hope for the best :) trying to be an optimist :p

No, no reasons specified. I'm just thinking my officer went on vacation and just came back. Or he finally got budget approved to hire movers to open my huge application box :p
Just got and email from CIC regarding my application received in May29, 2014. Alas it wasn't SA but a request for more information or missing as they said. I quote...

"This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on behalf of XXXXXXX and family (if applicable). We are not able to process your application as it is incomplete.
You are missing the following:> Court Ordered Pay -: According to the information on Option C printout for 2013 tax year you may have a support obligation to dependent(s) owed under a court order or domestic contract/agreement. Please provide documented proof of the status of payment obligations from 2014/05/29 to Current. This must be received at this office by: 2014/09/26. "

Has anyone had a request for this kind of information? What additional info did you send to them that worked?

Would really appreciate some advice here.

Thanks

i would highly recommend editing out th personal information on the above post. there are some on this forum who are not the most honest, and will troll for personal information to use. remember, this is a public forum, and it's important to be careful about sharing personal info.

it sounds like they are requesting proof that the court ordered child support has been paid by the sponsor since sending in the application. so you need to show them the payments, either by cancelled checks or paystubs with it taken out (however it is usually paid).

I thought the same thing. Change the names and don't give case #.

My spouse followed up today and he was told they are working on our application and that we should get a response anytime now up to 1.5 mths. I was thinking wtf. Why would they say 1 and a half mths... I think this is another call back and a follow up to get more information on what's going on.. Any others with any updates?

I called again too.

"Your application was received on May 21st. But the date on the website is May 16th, so I wouldn't worry."

The date on the website has been July 16th for two weeks. Consider me worried. :(
