Yes i am using old uci number and they have remove my wife status n updated my status...i have confusion, is cic has opened my file or not yet.Or.they just entered information into system....is they approved me as sponsorship..or done full completeness of file...sorry many questions...can you please reply..thanks

there is no way anyone on this forum can tell you what is going on with your file and what anything "means". Unfortunately, you will have to wait until CIC contacts you to know what your status is. Checking ECAS regularly really isn't going to do anything positive for the process. It mostly leads to either disappointment, confusion, or frustration. There is no way of knowing what is going on with each file since we are not the immigration officers working in the office handling each file.

yup, what rhcohen2014 said. buttar, if it says "application received on date x" then they just received it and didn't start working on it yet. it also depends when they received it... but like i said, my husband called CIC after the 55-day mark, the girl said it's normal to wait and she gave him a UCI. next day we received SA too. CIC works in mysterious (and annoying) ways, maybe give them a call if you're past 55 days of waiting.

any approval from 15th may onwards??? they received my file on 15th may . no updates ..

Hopefully they will update their website on the weekend and if the date is passed the 15th of May mark maybe give them a call like CutiePie92 suggested. It doesn't hurt to call and ask if its passed beyond what is on the website update. I think the next update will probably say they are working on files received 14/15th of May.

Yup thats exactly what the call agent told me to do. Too bad there's no update yet. Don't they update on friday?

By the way is there anyway to see if CIC has received whatever document that asked us to send? My husband didn't pay for tracking.

yeah they should've updated it yesterday..but according to the update date they dispay, they do it every wednesday (bullshit).

Mrs.Purcy, i have no idea only if you have a UCI number that they gave you? .. we only knew our file was with CIC because of the "sign at delivery" service from the courier..

Ok, finally update the spreadsheet with our info... not that it's anything life altering for anyone involved (including us) couldn't do it before because I was on my iPad.. I guess?

I am in the same boat too. good luck to you. hopefully quebec doesnt take that long. please keep us updated so that we can estimate the quebec delays.

Also please update if you get any notification after your file is transferred to the relevant visa office

thanks! there was a april applicant that received her CSQ in 2 weeks so we'll see how fast they move.

cic has updated their site that they are working on applictions received on 16th may. but my application was received by them by 15th May and i still didn't get any AOR or SA from them.

should i call them and ask whats going on with my file.

this is completely normal. i think it's important to remember although CIC states they are working on applications for a specific date, it doesn't mean all applications received before that date are finished being processed. Since you are not too far out of processing times, I don't think CIC will help yet. More likely than not, they will tell you to call back If you don't receive anything by the next update.

I'm getting excited because we are at the 54 day mark today so I'm hoping (fingers crossed!) to receive word sometime this week or at the beginning of next. Our application was received on May 20th.

My hubby called last Thursday but failed to get any info because they did not start processing the application yet... Have to wait and find ways not to be frustrated because it's still a very long way to go...
