Wow and it only took less then 5 weeks for CIC to ask for your passport?! I did not think that was possible...!

I am from Canada, sponsoring my Algerian husband...latest eCas status is that Medicals are Received.

Hi aquarian... i am from Kerala..God's own country.. :D Where are you from?

Excel update please:

Received AOR/Passport request from New Delhi: July 19, 2013.
Right after we send in the applications, I am tempted to try visitor visa application.

I still have to send them the CSQ and that would be hopefully soon.

Thanks,

Ya.. i checked in the spread sheet of New Delhi applicants 2013 in this forum.. after sending passports some are waiting for 6-8 months...... omg i dont want that condition because once after we send pp we expect visa to come soon. if they delay that we may go crazy... >:( But hoping that visa offices are gonna work with extra strength once the strike is resolved... praying for it... :) Where are you at canada?

Oh I see, the wait is between 6-8 months. Better than our's, lol (9 months). Best of luck to you! I am from Quebec. Where is your husband from in Canada?

i just went to cic.gc.ca then clicked apply online. after that you have to answer some questions to check your eligibility. then they will give you your checklist based on the answers you provided. just follow the intructions they gave you when uploading your documents.

Thanks so much...

abscott :) :)

Knock, knock, anyone home? >:(

So I just noticed now that the letter for Sponsorship approval says they have sent my application "abroad" does that mean it has been sent to an office in the US? After that part of the letter it gives me all the CPP-O office information? Kinda of confused ???

This is what it says:

You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.
Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the
Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail,
fax, or in writing as follows:
CPP Ottawa
Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa
NHQ - Centralized Processing Region
219 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1, Canada
E-mail: OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca
Fax number: (613) 946-6059
This visa office was selected based on your relative’s home address and the requirements of the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Does that mean it's in CPP-O??

My timeline so far

Thought I'd contribute to timeline info:

Application received on May 14
Started processing on June 4
Sponsor approved June 5
Right to Permanent Residence Fee requested 5 August (paid today on the 6th, I'm about to mail CPC Mississauga with the receipt).

I'm British, and my application is being processed in London, although I'm currently in Canada.

It's a common law application, though my partner and I are now married, and I plan to forward evidence of that to London. My partner is a student, with basically no income except OSAP and parental help, but she was approved pretty quickly.

We have no kids, clean police certificates, no medical issues. I applied a few months before the expiry of my second International Experience Canada visa.

Medical was done in Toronto, in April, and the application was sent with the form from the doctor (i.e. they shouldn't need to request anything more from me- I think!).

I notice people mentioning stuff about them requesting passports, what is that for?

Hi wish everyone well,

I just checked my status on cic and it listed * Permanent Residence Application Status - Application Received*

does that mean they not even start looking at my application form? cuz this status is not even one of the 4 status listed on their website

IN PROCESS / WITHDRAWN / DECISION MADE / COMPLETE

my visa office in Beijing has noticed us in June that they received our application form and its 2 months now they still havent even looked at it. But some of you already got approved in no time! :'(

I'm now in Canada for 1 month on my visitor status, will have 5 more months then I have to leave the country, I dont even know can I just travel to the States and come back again. Life here is not easy at all, everything is so expensive and i really want to start my life here and work, cant wait!!!
