A quick question to all of you:

I finally got my SA letter but they got my address wrong. They kept my old address on file as is. Now I called the call centre and they advised me to send an email to address change at CIC which I did. For the Delhi office, I am supposed to send a case specific enquiry.

I am not sure how to go about it. Would the applicant be my wife or me? The sponsors part of the application is done and for Delhi the applicant would be my wife, right? And also what would Delhi do with my address in Canada anyway?

Please help and it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Your wife is the applicant, you're the sponsor. You can change your address in Canada, ask New Delhi about it - they are in charge of your file ( as a whole), so they can change it on ecas. I'm not sure it really matters though, as you already have the SA, so they won't be sending you anything.. but it's always best to have your file updated, so send a CSE to New Delhi asking for an address correction. It might take a while, but it will happen eventually!
Good luck,
Sweden

I just found that my ecas is already updated with the latest info and correct address (maybe from my phone call). Nevertheless the email was sent to CIC already.

Thanks for the info about delhi, I am going to send a CSE to New Delhi shortly.

Thanks,

Hi Sweden, please help me find links on how to get my son on a visit visa. Does my husband need to apply again to sponsor for his visit if we will get him on a visit visa? when is the best time to do this? Can we do it together with our application at the same time?

Thank you so much...

Ya, I'm wondering the same thing.

Even if they waive the interview early in the process, they can change their minds any time before the visa is issued, so you really only know for sure when you have your visa. Most VOs say the interview has been waived when they send you PPR, but the VO in India requests passports so early, I don't think a passport request is a reliable way to know whether the interview has been waived.

Yes IvanP is right you can't be sure about interview until "Decision Made" by them.

Thanks for adding me! I made a mistake with the dates though, sorry..
We sent it in on May 13
They received it on May 16.
I thought AOR is when they received it.. What is it really?

AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt and you are correct its when they have received your application and they update you regarding the same.
