VOs @ New Delhi are on strike as you may be aware of, and this may the reason.

All the canadian embassy in world is on strike but only international officers not the ones who are working there and are of same country ... It can delay but they dont stop process and even they will be keeping process on, on humanity grounds as canadian embassy thinks its bad to keep couple apart from each other straight after marriage ...

So today I called in and learned that the system says the application was received on May 30.

Does that mean:

a. in a day or two I will receive an email with AOR?
b. that the application is ok w.r.t. signatures and required forms?

[AOR is the acknowledgment of Receipt, you may receive this if you paid online, they're letting you know that they took the payment out from your credit card, applicant who paid in their bank institution don't receive an AOR bec. they already have their own receipt. SA in the other hand is Sponsor's Approval meaning the sponsorship has been approved and they will go to the next step of processing which is the application for permanent resident of your spouse.]

no - the AOR doesn't have anything to do with paying online. When paying online, you get a receipt for your payment and you add that to your application.
An AOR is an email from CIC telling you that your application has been received. Which is what the previous poster has received now.

Between AOR and SA, it can be anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. Since they are now processing applications received on the 23rd May according to the website, it shouldn't be too long until you receive your SA.
And yes - most likely it means that your application is complete, no form or signature missing.

MAY 9/13 - RECEIVED APP BY CIC
JUNE 3/13 -AOR RECEIVED
JUNE 3/13 - SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL/
SENT APP TO CANADIAN EMBASSY MANILA

Thanks Sweden. That's what I was looking for. I was worried since my app was rejected once already. Hope to receive SA soon and move to the next step as soon as possible.

Did any one consider a situation similar to the following:

1. Application for New Delhi office
2. SA approved and all and Delhi asked for the passport
3. Any thoughts on wanting a visitor visa during the app processing?

I am very happy announce that I got my SA email this afternoon. They got my address wrong (just apartment wrong as my old and new address differ just in the apartment number), I am going to fix it.

But now the file is sent to New Delhi .
Time line:

Medicals done: April 1, 2013
App sent: May 29, 2013
App received: May 30, 2013
CPC Mississuaga AOR: June 27, 2013
SA approval: June 28, 2013

Please kindly update the excel file, it is very useful and many thanks for maintaining that.
