Funny, I am looking at the timeline and they received Chanduu's application before yours. But for some reason, yours was transferred to the local office while Chanduu's was given an RQ straight from Sydney. All this around the same time. Chanduu was asked to send his package to Ottawa. I thought it's because of the backlog in Scar. But come to think of it, Ottawa does not have a good timeline. Very similar to Montreal and worse than Scar. It is puzzling to be honest. Who knows what they're thinking!

Yes it was from Scarborough office (as they metioned in the letter) that i need to send the RQ to that address.

Thats true he got RQ from Sydney and mine from Scarb, I think they pick and share application between diffrent office's as backlog is killing them.

Here is my timeline:

- Application received on April 03, 2013
- Study book was send on April 03, 2013 (Consider Delay) which I received on Mid of August I don't exactly remember the date.
- Start processing on June 18, 2013
- Citizenship Test letter was sent on October 2, 2013 and Citizenship test on October 21, 2013
- Letter received on November 4, 2013 saying that Oath Ceremony on November 25, 2013

I would to share my feeling. People have wrong concept that who have travel outside the country before applying to citizenship will get Residency Questionnaires. I totally disagree as I have traveled twice before applying my citizenship. I get married before citizenship.

Secondly some people have perception that CIC is targeting Asian community or Middle East which is totally wrong. CIC is doing their job and all the cases depend on the Office who is looking at your file.

My brother got Residency Questionnaires but I didn't.

Congrats on this super fast timeline...just beats one I recall several years ago of 5 months also from Windsor. This adds credence to the fact that batch pulls from the Local Office are what determine processing times. I'd love to see the Local Office stats for applications received vis a vis resource for Windsor, ON versus say Montreal, QC from Q312 - Q413. Maybe Windsor work OT? Whatever they are doing the rest of the CIC should model themselves on the crew here!

Processing itself maybe a few weeks-- create application record, run checks, hold a test, make a decision, print a certificate, hold a ceremony, add record in citizen database.

Yeap. i called today though i was not hoping an answer since last time when i called CIC, the agent did not even ask my client id (guess he was annoyed when heard May application and told me it is too early to inquire about application Sir). This time though the agent told that my has been transferred 2 days back.
I was super polite from the first word so that he could at least look into the system.

I plan to call them by June 2015 by inference, I would say that my file has been transferred and that no news "no RQ" is good news.

I will call Dec 2014. Montreal is well known to be slow. No need to call. I have a Sister and a friend who applied before I did (13 and 11 months respectively) and no news...not worth it for me. I will lay low for a while 8)

My local office is Saskatoon. I think they are transferring all May applicants' files to local offices (considering my application was received in the last week of May).

It's all up to the mood of agent to tell u about file transfer since it's internal process.

Seems virtually no data on processing C'ship application in Saskatoon is available. So not sure, whether this office is slow or fast.
