Ok so it seems they want your fingerprinting done as well. You can secure an appointment with RCMP and show them the letter and tell them that you have been requested to undergo fingerprinting. Usually those who have stayed in more than two to three countries require to undergo fingerprinting or those who have a very common name.

Hey once you receive PPR..you should immediately contact CIC for further guidance. Most probably they will say that principal applicant should submit passport at ottawa with an explanation letter stating why spouse's passport cant be mailed to Ottawa. Ottawa will give you instructions accordingly.

Hello 'Phanikmeka' - a member on April 2013 thread named 'arif.jabbar' was in a similar situation. He got PPR for he and his wife, but his wife was in their home country (Pakistan i guess !!!) so he had to talk to CIC and got some guidance (i think he sent only his passport attaching a letter why he couldnt send his wife's passport seeking CIC's guidance on sending her PP) - so i strongly recommend you to get in touch with him - BTW he is very helpful and responds pretty quickly !!

Hi phanikmeka,

Please let us know what you find out, since I am going to end up in the similar situation.
Is there is any way, I would like to know from your experience.

Thanks,

Hello Everyone....

Happy new year to one and all.

I have submitted my medicals back in Oct,2013 but havent heard anything from CIC yet. My ECAS showed medicals recieved in November but my status is still being shown as 'Application Recieved'

I am not sure if some one has started reviewing my application yet. Does it need to show 'In Progress' when a VO is actually looking at my file ?

How is it going with other people in this group ?

Hello musti2683,

For it took about 1 month and half to get changed to 'IN PROCESS'. Usually, that's the stage where they are reviewing our application.

All the best

Not yet. I have just applied for it yesterday online and am not expecting before 2-3 weeks. I always thought once its 'In Process', you have a VO assigned.

Seems mines is still months away from RPRF request considering I am still at 'Application Recieved'

I haven't request Notes either. I thought we will get PPR before end of January bcz some people who applied in April and went to in process September got PPR before holidays. Well wait and see.
