Can you please tell me which clinic in Ottawa you went to, and did your kids have to do blood tests as well?

I'm going to the uOttawa clinic on Tuesday , it's on rideau st. I can give you my feedback by then.

You can pay RPRF upfront, it probably
Doesn't save any time though, i would defiantly agree up front medical makes sense.

You need to take your passport, have your UCI and application number on the day

Principal applicants (with some exceptions) and spouses and common-law partners coming with them to Canada must pay this fee. Applicants must pay this fee before CIC issues the permanent resident visa or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

These people do not have to pay this fee:

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
protected persons, including Convention refugees.

As I said I don't think it will speed up your application! In fact I know it has actually slowed some aplicants down before because Cic took longer to link it together, be carful!

I was reading now a thread in this forum by someone who basically says he was rejected after he was asked to do medicals and also pay RPRF!! Could this hPpen? Doesn't getting MR indirectly mean that some review was done on your file and you passed eligibility, so MR was sent out!! Do we still need to worry even after getting our MR?!!!

Hello all,
I am glad to share with you all that I received my MR on Friday the 31st.

Had been busy otherwise, so I could not post this earlier.

NOC: 2171
App received: 15th May 2013
AOR received: 4th July 2013
RCMP request: 29th Nov 2013
Medical request: 31st Jan 2014

Surprisingly, they have not asked me for own country PCC or the PCC for other countries where I have lived for more than 6 months.

Doesn't getting MR indirectly mean that some review was done on your file and you passed eligibility, so MR was sent out!! Do we still need to worry even after getting our MR?!!!

The guy seemed extremely suspect and I don't know if half what he was saying as true !

You would have to be one of the unluckiest people for this to happen !

Be relieved if you get this far !

He sounded suspicious to me too Suvan... no dates.. did not mention what he exactly did recieve or how many days he was short..

Maybe that is why he is the only one since ever we hear to get rejection after doing all

Honestly speaking.. i always criticize the process.. but they make sure not to make u do medicals or pay RPRF till u pass eligibility to save u some money

Guys... when do we usually get our RPRF requests? At least what was the trend for the last months or last few weeks?

Regarding the MR

In my honest opinion, I don't think they say it to save us money, even if your broke $180 to save 4 weeks is worth it in my opinion. If I had my time again I'd do upfront medicals for sure !

The truth is if everbody said screw it were all doing upfront medicals can you imagine how grid locked the system would be !? Lol

It would be complete mayhem! I think you'll find this is why
