Hi Islington,for me its been almost 2 months since I did the medical and yet no answer . Flagpoling,means going to the borders right? I am planning on going back home and then when I come back I land at the airport but does it matter if I get married back home or not?

I am sure you will receive it shortly.It also depends on the practioner...Mine sent medicals within 3 days...Regarding marriage I am not sure but if I were you I would not do that before landing or getting PR card...If there is no other way I suggesting you to contact CIC and ask befor doing it...
Flagpoling means to go to the beares border leave the country and come back to finish landing..It is cheaper than going home..

Still waiting on MR.
I went ahead and did medicals in advance so here's to hoping it comes through soon.
I did get a request for more docs on dec 6th - full licence history report from Australia (which came back pretty much clean) so not sure why they requested this. By the time I got it, I sent off on Jan 8th.

Anyone else have updates.

I will need US visa then or can I cross the borders with no US visa?

If You are from a country that needs a visa, so you will need one to enter in the US

as per people from the forum, you can either make a u-turn before entering US border or go to the border and get a refusal letter from US...these are the options if you need a visa and do not want to obtain one..

I just got an email yesterday from OttiPilot.....@cig...ca.

"...your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible..." and "We wish to remind you at this time that your Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is outstanding."......

They are asking me to pay the RPRF now but I have not even received a medical request. Does this mean that they have sent me medical request previously. There is nothing in email yet. Or does this mean, I have to go ahead and do medical before they even ask. By the way I have just paid the RpRf yesterday and ecas does not let me sign in.

I have a Q: Which email address do they use to send the MR? So far, I have noticed two (from friends/other forumns):

And

My details: Applied May 17, AOR : Sep 6 , Medical Request : Feb 7 , Request to Pay "Pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee" : Feb 7

Qs: Whats the photo specification for Medical Request ? Any Link on CIC that details it? The email received for medical does not specify any photo size details.

When you have received AOR via email, that email should say the corresponding email address.

All e-mail enquiries should be sent to the following address only: OttPilot-immigration(at)cic.gc.ca

You should not use the first email address. That is just automatic responded sending email.
Do not reply to the first email address.
