congratulation for such a good news. My wife wants to live in Edmonton Alberta instead of Quebec because of her school when she landed and i totally understand her cos the french SHE CAN'T SPEAK. 78 days since sponsor approval. No change in ECAS. No word. Nothing.

We are @ day 99 and still no word. Hang in there! Hope we will all get this over with ASAP. I must admit that this everyday anticipation is very toxic. I'm really disliking the weekends now since there's no activity on our files! Weird, eh?

no not really.....one even gets to dislike long weekends cause that means for 3 days the file sits!!! it really is a vicious cycle...

Oh tell me about it! To make things worse, I'm starting to be a bit unhappy about participating in family type of social functions. This Thanksgiving was torture! Honestly, I didn't enjoy it. Exercise used to work quite well in distracting me. I should probably increase the amount of workout. If anything, I will be totally sculpted by the time he gets his visa.

Congrats again KJG! I was thinking about you on Oct 4th, and sent you positive thoughts. I was really happy to see the good news Enjoy the feeling.

When I check my online status for my sponsorship application it gives me 2 statuses.
One is "Permanent Residence Application Status" - Application received on May 23, 2012. Medical results have been received.
Second one: "Sponsorship Application Status" - Decision made: We sent you a letter on July 17, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

It has been this way from the beginning, nothing ever changed.
Is it suppose to be this way?
I am so worried :'(

When I check my online status for my sponsorship application it gives me 2 statuses.

I'm in the same boat, and a lot of others are as well. eCAS isn't very reliable, it's hit and miss, really. Don't worry, hopefully things will go forward for us soon!

hello everyone

i got some good news, this morning Oct 11, on ecas status change from "in process" to Decision Made" and they also updated my wife address to my canada address. but the only thing i dont understand is the canada address they updated only stated Edmonton, Alberta, Canada instead of my full Edmonton Canada address. Should i leave it that way mor should i update it myself since there is an option for me to do so now?

just a recap, ppr on sept 28th, beijing vo recevied our pp on oct 2th, oct 11 decision made so 10 days in total ;D now we are waiting to receive my wife passport with the visa then we can start looking for plane tickets

also there's no email or mail for the decision made notice. Only stated on eCAS "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision"

Congrats!!!! And no worries, the address and all are supposed to be like that. Same was for me and usually there is no email, they just send you the passport back with the visa, just wait for that, more you dont have to do

Yes its supposed to be that way. Dont get too down over ecase! Its not 100% reliable and doesnt mean they dont work on it, just cause its on "app. received", it can also directly go to "desicion made" without you expecting it or showing "in process" before.

Not sure if there is anyone left still waiting on sponsorship approval but me.
Documents CIC lost or misplaced were sent again a month ago and still no movement on ECAS other than they have received my application. LOL.
Looks like I'm to the back of the line again.

I still haven't gotten sponsorship approval either. Funny though, that my papers are in London which I've heard, means that I've been approved to sponsor. I didn't get an aknowledgement of receipt either, or the approval of sponsorship. I've only received a letter stating I forgot to sign one of the papers and with that letter I got my UCI. Ecas states application received. I did, however send them email asking if everything is ok and they responded saying the papers are in London and everything is going normally.

I think it can happen if maybe theres an error in email address or mailing address, maybe you made a mistake or they did, easily something is not typed right, a technical problem in email transfer or the email lands in your junk folder etc.
At least you know things are going normally.

CanadianJeepGUy i hope you get your approval fast now!!! And that you recieve an email.....not that any mistakes happen.

Got an email from Vienna this morning requesting additional information (my activities between June and October 2006) and I already sent them a reply (they only gave me 10 days to reply, so I hope an email will do).

I also checked my ecas and it changed to IN PROCESS!!!

@bonitanita, could you please update my info on the spreadsheet?! Processing started on October 09. Thank you!!
