actually when Ottawa first started in March they were amazingly fast and we were all hoping Mississauga would take a lesson from them but it seems now that Ottawa has decided to be more like Mississauga........

just sent in my application early August 2012. i hope everything works out. i was going paranoid about whether the envelope was sealed properly or not and would get delivered to CPC in Miss. I just hope and pray it did. It took months to gather all the docs. whew!

If they gave the UCI number, and mentioned that they will forward to Manila office,was that just AOR or already considered APPROVAL too? Just to confirm.

I don't know why would it take so much time to verify the documents/information, for the ones who have submitted all the required documents?

It's been 38 days since the AOR ... some lucky guys got their stage-1 completed within this period.

So I'm guessing that ECAS is not really detail oriented.
Having received an email stating missing documents and passport photos I was still given a file and client # and ECAS states that both the sponsorship application and permanent residence application have been received. LOL. I thought there would be some kind of "On Hold" adendum to each application since they are apparently incomplete.

I'm ambivalent about it now. With this delay its not likely that my wife will get her PR before spring 2013 so I'm just working as much as possible to make the time go by. I was hoping that she might get her PR by october but that is impossible now.

Hey everyone. I wanted to get some suggestions regarding the passport request process from new delhi. My sponsor and I are living in saudi arabia. We selected new delhi as our vo. Since new delhi asks for passport early in the process, and we are residing outside india, its difficult to send the passport right away. Saudi rules do not allow us to keep the passport with us. We heard we can ask new delhi to give us a second passport request when our application has been completely reviewed and decision made. Is this right? And any other ideas as to what to do about this?
Also, another question is what do they generally ask in interviews? And is the interview requested for both sponsor and applicant?

Normally New Delhi sends PPR almost within 20 to 27 days after file is been transferred..
I got mine after 23 days... So all d best ..you will get it soon.,...
