Some people are lucky enough to get AOR. But most of us just track the mail through the post office tracking number.

Hi jakesalomons.

You're better off tracking your application through the post office to see if it was delivered. It's my understanding that CIC doesn't send an AOR until they open it, and sometimes not even then.

You won't hear anything untill they process the application. Your in a 2-3 month que. Frustrating,I know.
You can check up on how the processing times are moving along on the CIC website.

Hi everyone..
I just sent my wife's application last April 27, 2012 and CPC-M received it this May 2, 2012. I have read the CIC processing time on their site and it says there that there is a 90 days(*not sure of what it is) for step 1. My question is, does this 90 days countdown begins when the CPC-M received the application? or does it(90 days) start when they are actually processing it? and if it does start on the day they start processing, how long will it take for them to grant a visa from there? Hopefully someone can give me a feedback.

Based on all the spreadsheets for previous months, it goes by the date CIC-M received the application. It should only take about 1-3 days to grant approval (probably only about a couple of hours...).
