On my way to mail the forms today. My husband and I live in the US with our two minor daughters. We are planning on moving to PEI hopefully at the end of July. Thanks for this forum, what a support system!

still waiting for my option C printout for 2011. Been 7 working days after I requested for it. The lady who I talked to from CIC said it'll take 5 working days to reach. Hopefully, will get it this week. The last missing document before I send out the application... I just want to get the application off my hands, been living with it for the past 2~3 months ...

That will stay that way for a while ( 90 days timeline for step 1 ). Patience will be learned here.
They open your package around the time they state on their site. You can see what dates they are working on ( Feb. 9th now). You will hear than within a few days after they open your package if your sponsorship is approved. Thats the first time you receive a email from them.

mobeyk... could you pls let me know where to see the dates CIC is currently working on? you said Feb 9th is what they are looking at now?

I just mailed my package to Mississauga 2 weeks ago so I'll join this thread and wait with all of you here. ;D

I went online to check my file to see if Mississauga actually received it yet but there is no way to tell. Do I have to wait till they are done to find out if they even received it?

I didn't have my option C print out for this year (because I haven't done my taxes yet) but I work for the government so I was able to print out 12 months worth of pay statements and had a letter from my department saying I have been working for the Fed Government for 12 years. Hope this is valid enough.

Not sure why my T4 and letter of employment wouldn't be all they need.

I’m hoping that since I posses a high level security clearance with the federal government that my application won’t run into too many problems.

Then again hoping that our federal departments even have some sort of understanding of what the other does or how it works might be hoping for too much.

I do agree that the application paper work (i.e. the MASSIVE amount of paper and effort) it took seemed a little ridiculous.

yes I've seen that link and been on the site, still doesn't tell me if they have actually recived my package and I have yet to get a letter back from them.

The issue is there should be a simple way to check if the paperwork has at least arrived and been filed.

Then again with all the government cutbacks recently I'm not holding my breath on getting a speedy answer.

The CIC office in Victoria BC is right next door to my condo. I went there to get some answers about my application and they gave me the "we only deal with inland applications". I was still able to have the clerk look up a few details for me. What I found out however was that they were closing down at the end of the month... This was a building the government had JUST rented, same thing with the Tax office around the corner

Hi everybody! We sent our application on May 15th and they received it on May 17th (I got a delivery confirmation through UPS). So glad it's finally done but also nervous how everything will work out! Visa office is Vienna (would have been Berlin). Good luck to everyone!
