May 2012 Applicants - JOIN HERE!

I called them today and they also said they're opening apps from April 30. They didn't have mine in the system yet. I guess I won't be checking the mail - anyways the mail person took their day off today.

my wife called CIC last july 30 they said they to call them back after 2 weeks coz they are starting to review early MAY applicants and the agent also said that they send letters last july 25 i dont know wat are those letters hopefully AOR's for us waiting

But understand that I am at 85. And this doesn't matter. I would be ok waiting for 150 but you got to be fair.

Is it so busy? Wait for 150, no problem on my part. Being unfair and bypassing people and give approvals to people one month after? I will truly be glad for them but irritated as well. Not for them but for the bureaucracy and the unfairness. BUT coming in this thread not bothering to read the last couple of pages and just asking "what's wrong" yes that I find irritating.

Right, and I'm right behind you on the time. I get that. It's not being unfair and bypassing us.... it's the officers that have our file aren't to ours yet. I hate it, don't get me wrong.. but they aren't doing it on purpose and picking and choosing. But I DO agree, if someone comes in and doesn't even care to read the stories before asking things like that, it's not cool and irritating.

I'm just trying to help everyone stay calm because i know the ride is long. I hope you eventually feel better and you get your AOR.

There's my point. Some people end up that far and further. It sucks, but we will get through this... and if we're all calm with each other, we can support one another (even if they are from another month )

Ok.. but I don't think I did anything to deserve a 10c lecture. I'm trying to support everyone else as well. Part of supporting other people is listening to them when they're feeling down. Sorry that I have been feeling down lately, we all take our turns being supportive or frustrated.

No you don't deserve a lecture.. dunno what 10c is, sorry. But, you don't deserve any lecture.. I wasn't trying to lecture anyone. I was just trying to keep everyone positive, not bring them further down. When I mentioned the other wait times, it was one of those "it could be worse" meanings... it wasn't meant to be rude or to bring anyone down. I hate seeing others feeling this way because I've felt this way myself and I know how much it sucks.. especially when you want to be with your loved one. I'm just trying to help. I apologize if it was taken wrong, I meant no harm...

It's great motivation for getting out of the house! 10c lecture.. it's an old fashioned thing my Grandpa used to say. It doesn't make much sense.

Hi fellow May 2012 applicants; I thought I should share that this morning, as I was checking the status of one of my sons' proof of Canadian Citizenship application, CIC added my sponsored spouse's application for Permanent Resident in Canada status ("Application Received"; also, "We received your application for PR in Canada on May 1").

I had applied to sponsor my US Citizen spouse on May 2012 from the USA (I'm a dual citizen residing in the USA); until this morning, I had not heard anything from cic. Actually, I have not received any emails or letters from them yet.

Could someone help me understand what's going on here?
