Yes, we got an email from London containing our B and F file number nearly a month ago, 24 June.

Yay! I got my file number in an email today! My application receipt date is July 5 in Buffalo.

Hello everyone.

I just wanted to update you all on our progress. We still haven't received sponsorship approval yet, but when I phoned the call centre today, they were able to tell me that Mississauga have responded with a message that my file is now being seen to by an agent and that it was started on June 29th. I know, I know, 5 1/2 weeks AFTER they received it they started working on it, but to be honest I'm happy just knowing that someone is actually working on it and that it hasn't been lost or mis-filed. So they've been working on it now for three weeks, which means we should hear something in the next 20 days (fingers crossed).

The processing time for Buffalo, as per this chart in the link, is 11 months. But back in May I ran some statistics off of a spreadsheet of only Buffalo folks (there were 41 applicants, I think), and I found the mean length of time between application filing and PPR was 5 months and the min and max were 2 months and 11.6 months, respectively. I don't know (or really care) what's going on with Buffalo - I suspect they are getting increasingly backlogged. I'm starting to think that a bit of "ignorance is bliss" is healthy in this whole endeavor. Oh and when I was in the Buffalo outland thread I saw someone post "Man, Buffalo is inconsistent." Lol, you got that right.

I'm just happy to see that they are processing and PPRing people who applied in March already. I hope the pace keeps up the way it is...
