hmmm
i think i might have to vent here a lil bit too lol

i am here in canada with my husband and we are waiting for "the" processing to be over. I, like all of you, am confident that we have all the sufficient records and documentations that would prove that our relationship is for real. the long wait is really killing me as I can't work until i get the permanent residency. How bad it is? Well, i've got nothing else to do. i cant even work. we are in a small city and no one would wanna hire a foreign worker and go through the process of acquiring a work visa. so i have no choice but to wait painfully. i sometimes pick up a fight with my hubby for entertainment (crazy, I know right...)

Oh well, i am just as hopeful as everyone here for a speedy process. but since there is not much that I can do about it, ill just wait patiently and hope for the best. our time will come. before we know it.. we already have our visas in our hands. let's just all enjoy the journey. i know it's hard. but it's gonna be sooooo worth it..

At the very least you are able to be with your husband through the process .... therefore actually able to pick fights and hopefully resolve them in the same day...LOL I can totally relate because I do the same thing ::) but because we are not together it lasts for a few days each time LOL ... gotta keep him on his toes :P and "make ups" are sooo not the same over the internet hahaha 8)

Is it possible to go to Morocco for a short trip?

I am contemplating a trip at the end of the year. But because I had 3 weeks off in January for the marriage it is unlikely I will get more time off until next year now. And if I do a trip in between it means I cannot afford to go there and bring him back when he gets his visa :-\. So we have not yet decided how we want to manage this. But I am leaning more and more to a visit end of year or Jan and he can come here alone because I don't think I can wait longer than that...

Woohoo, so glad to hear another May has been approved.
And the anxiousness grows!!!
No worries Darque, yours should be coming through anytime now.

I spend all the time on the net to hear good news like this, so I can update the spreadsheet.. hahaha

Maybe your letter has been sent by regular mail. Some do get sent that way, mine did! It took me about a week to receive the letter too.
Don't worry, you'll know soon!

So here is a question for those who have already been approved...

Looking at the time frames the average seems a bit less then 1 month.
But then there is Darque who has still heard nothing.

Did you guys put anything on the envelope or marked it so as to know that it was a spouse application.
After all, it only gets to the mail room, then they have to open it to see to what area it will go, I just thought maybe if you guys wrote something on your envelopes you avoid this mini mail room step...

Just a thought to put out there and see what people did.

I put our entire application, supporting documents & photos in a box file and clearly labelled the front of the file with a large label saying:

Family Class Immigration
Spouse Application
My Name & His Name

Now I am a little worried...I can't remember if I put anything like that on the outside....do you think this is really important?

Well there goes my whole theory. i thought maybe the others had put that and you didnt put anything and maybe thats why it would take a couple days more. im pretty sure you must have sent by regular mail then. have you tried looking on ecase with your receipt number?

Nah, I sent it next day global express and it was signed for in the mail room on May 5.

I tried checking e-Cas with my online receipt number but nothing is showing up yet which i wouldn't expect it too since I've not been approved yet.

I have found some comfort from pinklady though who says I may receive a letter rather than an email. Fingers & toes crossed that I'll hear something soon! I need to send my other forms off to MICC! :D

congratulations heather!!!

now we just need darque to hear...

QUESTION?

YOU CAN CHECK ECAS WITH YOUR PAYMENT FORM RECEIPT NUMBER? WOW I DID NOT KNOW THIS LOL!

you should be able to. but until your file has been approved nothing will show up. well nothing shows for me. why can you see your file?
