Hi everyone.
Guess what?
Hubby is coming tommorow.
Finally. Yay!

I had looked forward to this day for sooooo long with so many plans of a grande "welcome", inc a special meal and desert, sparkling clean home, romantic bedroom including red roses (petals) on the bed, somewhat-matching tops for our daughter and I, bla bla bla...
But guess what? Right now, my home is not-so sparkling, no matching clothes planned yet, nor meals, rose petals or nothing... and none of these are planning to change between now and when he gets in. Just tired me at work, didnt even get the chance to get my eyebrows done. Ha!
:P

hey spicymum , the best laid plans dont always go as expected...lol.congrats again and hope you have a memoriable impromptu welcome for him...your life has just began>>>

I am confused....

A while back we received an email stating that Ecas had made a change. When I checked it, it said that my husbands app was received on Aug 9, 2011 (which we already had confirmation for) but it also said... We started processing your application on Aug 16, 2011.

When I checked in today... not sure why but I did but, that last part is gone!!! So what the heck does that mean? (if anything) Did they not really start processing? Is this just a glitch in Ecas? We received our AOR on Aug 16... could this have been a flub on their end??

Any suggestions as to how I can find out? Can someone tell me if they have had a similar situation.

Thank you ahead of time for any advice.

E-cas is not reliable for outlanders, due to glitches sometimes but just being untimely and unreliable in general. The only thing that is reliable is ordering the printscreens of your case in the Global Case Management System. I don't think that if your VO emailed you an AOR that it was a flub, but the real way to know anything about your file is those GCMS notes.

The two most important things are to put your correct application file number according to Rabat's AOR and to make sure to check off "GCMS" and not the "visa file (information abroad)." I guess you would also need your husband to sign off on the consent for them.

I could not find the consent area on this form... I take it, it is a completely separate form than this??

Yes. There's a link on the Immipedia page I first linked to.

Awesome.. thanks...

I don't know if it will do any good yet. But might be good for a read.

Happy Halloween all....

11 years ago today I got the best Halloween "treat" when my daughter was born... time sure does fly... when it doesn't involve immigration that is... LOL :P

Wow, the May thread is a shadow of its former self. Even the Junies are more active than us. How many of us are still waiting by the way? I'm at just over 6 months...

For real. I am sadly still here too!
