Today I decided to log into e-CAS using my husband's Client ID instead of my own. Big surprise (sarcasm), there's way more info about my file under his account.

How do you know what the applicants client is is? So far I am only aware of the sponsor's id.

When you receive the AOR the applicants client ID will be on the top of the page or email.

I had a client ID before applying because I already had a study permit from CIC. Since your timeline shows that you got an AOR, you can check the UCI on that message - it is identical to the applicant's client ID.

actually mine ended in 0 and my husbands ended in 5 .... ?? strange no? other than that they were the same

oh. well i meant the "UCI" on the AOR communication is the applicant's Client ID, and the "Client #" on the letter to the sponsor approving sponsorship is the same as the sponsor's Client ID, although my husband is not quite in your position because he's a citizen through going through the PR process himself (economic class). My and his Client IDs are completely different.

Yup...our UIC numbers are completely the same except the last digit...0 to 5

I can use both to log in to e-CAS.

well that's interesting. not sure how they pick those things out. probably has to do with the fact that you are both getting your Client IDs at the same time together. very romantic i guess

Hmmm....we didn't get an applicant client I'D. We had an e cas update stating application received at VO and medical results received, no email or post stating AOR. When I click the link stating Application Received there is no client ID.

I am the sponsor, my ID ends in 1!

You may receive something by post. Depends on your VO I find. Some people provide emails but still receive letters.

Also, I find time a big difference...for instance... one woman who applied at the same VO as me...her husband got a letter in the post 3 months after they received it....and my husband got an email only 7 days after they received it.

Unfortunately there are alot of inconsistancies that way. I do hope you receive a letter soon though.

ok thanks. I have a feeling London VO doesn't send letters or emails for AOR, at least I don't recall anyone in the London thread saying they received anything other than the ecas update. I'll just have to settle only checking with my ID a hundred times a day!

Just a suggestion but you could sign up for e-CAS Tracker. It is a site created by a forum member that you provide as much or as little information to and it checks daily for you and send you an email whenever you have an update or change to your e-CAS... the link is below if you want to sign up.

I am signed up and I find it relieved a lot of pressure of me checking all the time

Well the reason I said check your AOR was because in your timeline under your name, it says AOR: June 17th. In any case, the two things that e-CAS did show - were they under the sponsor's e-CAS account or the applicant's? I'm going to guess the sponsor's (yours) unless you correct me. If you don't have the Client ID for your spouse, try using the receipt number (starts with R) or you could also try emailing London (london-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca) to ask them for his file number (starts with B and/or F).
