I almost forgot to post this.. As a May 2010 applicant, I got my COPR in January 2013 ;D (no visa passport exempt)

Hi all,

I originally applied in May 2010 and received my 2nd file no. in April 2012 and I’m still waiting.

Now I’m living as a residence in UAE and I’m planning to move to live in another country (IRAQ )

Does this will affect my application status as I’m originally applied from UAE and I received the 1st and 2nd file numbers here?

Please advice as I don’t want to lose my application during this movement from UAE

It should not be any problem, so far as you keep the VISA OFFICE informed about the change in Job or residence country. Also please keep in mind that the file will continue to be processed at the location where you applied and cannot be shifted/transferred to any other Visa Office. So in case of passport request you will have to deposit the passport at the Visa Office where you applied and the stamping would be done at that location only though Medicals can be done anywhere.

A little correction - though file cannot be transferred but if you change ur country the stamping request can be generated for Canada like in my case I moved to Australia and rather than USA, Canada asked me to send my passport to Canada for stamping.

Just wanted you to know that my husband and I reached PPR last Wednesday. We applied in May 2010, did medical in July 2012 and then got the medical received line in August 2012.

So now we anxiously await the return of our passports ;D

..am a silent follower here..am also a may2010 applicant..had our medicals may2012..waiting for ppr...a month from now our medicals will expire...scared that we might be requested for a re-medical? any idea with this?thanx everyone!!!

Please dont take it hard its fact Canada Govt only accept those who are patient of depression so they keep us waiting for long and make us mad as we have used to tackle such conditions in Canada... I couldnot write more words I want to write but now I think we will get MR in end of 2013 (For June Applicants)
CHC is waiting for MI and files if our categories will be in New NOL then will get visa soon or our files will be backlog and will cleared in 2014 if they want... so be ready for long vacation in our home country.

There is no end of your worry. We all waiting for PR since 2010. But as per forum we can know that they are issuing MR and VISA to March & April candidates. There are some expections where May applicant got it but we are not from that. We have to wait maximum till June-July as there is no chance to get new case under FSW till June as the CIC office will start accepting new applications from May only.
Dont put too many efforts and give frustration to your minds.

Just remember that now we have to wait for shorter time than we are already waiting since our applications.....

Dear Sir

I am a LVO applicant , we must accept this fact that due to backlog issues MI1 applicants were mainly affected.
In beginning CIC gave priority to MI1 m then they stopped processing our applications and started clearing pre Feb 2008 applicants.


Policy of processing in CIC was not clear , and they finalized this on march 29,2012 when finally all backlog was cleared by law .

I believe that by end of 2013 , by November all pending applications will be reviewed and will be either in MR stage or Visa Issuance Stage

New applications that will be coming in system from May 2013 , will reach any visa office by September 2013 , and by that time CHCs has to clear their processing.

Lets hope for the best.
