I have been saving the excel sheets of quarterly data release on data.gc.ca. Wanted to share the data which shows that the files of MI1 applicants are being worked upon. The MI1 inventory comparison of April 2011 Vs April 2012 is mentioned below. This is the data for the total number of applications for all CHC offices worldwide:

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC offices worldwide
No. of cases No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011 52423 141098
As on 1st April 2012 32641 91104

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC New Delhi
No. of cases No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011 8130 20639
As on 1st April 2012 5053 13236

Looking at the data, one can make out that they are working on the MI 1 applications. Though the speed is very slow as compared to MI2 and MI3, but at least we can be hopeful that the cases would be cleared.
That would help pep up the optimistic attitude of all the forum members

Good analysis...... Surely they will be able to clear everything out from their inventory!

I have received a feedback from sgvo today on a return email:
Your file is in the medical queue awaiting medical forms to be issued in the next 6 to 9 months. Please wait to receive request letter from this office.
So, do we still stand a chance of rejection, i have not received any MR since my status have changed into In Process in March.

Plz suggest:
I got my medical requeat last week along with request for updated fbi. My application was sent may 2010 and started pricessing april 2012. Hope all goes well witj u.

What do you guys think if 1 of the applicants (not the main person) can not accompany the main applicant due to family circumstances, would it be OK not to provide with PC and not send passport further or it might delay the process?
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Chami i am sorry but i can not answer to your question as i do not know the answer, but i would like to know if you have any news from VO or have not you got meds yet ?In Rusforum there is much movement for 38 list applicants.

Hi Chami
I suggest you to send the other applicants Meds and passport on request. I guess main application only can travel and can say at immigration that the other applicants will be joining you soon.
in future if the other applicant wants to join there won't be any issues.

if you inform them now about this, as per procedure they may re-evaluate the application again to see your eligibly.

post your question in other forum threads to see if any one can suggest you better...

Hi all I think new rule has put more emphesis on language, this is what I could understand about points for language from Canada Gazette link. Explaination by hotheart007 was by mistake done on existing point system.

First Official Language:
Maximum 24 points
New Mandatory Minimum
Minimum threshold in all abilities
Initially set at CLB/NCLC 7 band 4 pts per ability (16 points)
Threshold + 1 CLB/NCLC level i.e 8 band 5 pts per ability (20 points)
Threshold + 2 CLB/NCLC level i.e 9 band 6 pts per ability (24 points)

So below 7 band will not get any points

Hi Chami i do not understand if you have received any news from Moscow VO or not, have you inquired them or not ?I am interested as my VO is Moscow too.
www.rusforum.ca

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney has stated that “the new Skilled Worker program will be limited to applicants in NOCs O, A, and B, but won’t be limited to particular occupations.”

While the Minister has said that there won’t be a limitation on particular occupations, it is expected that there will be an overall cap or limit to the number of applications that will be accepted for assessment by CIC.

Kenny has said that under the new policy no particular occupations would be outlined for eligibility under FSW class. Above statement makes it clear that most probably they would not delay the processing of files of applicants under 4131 or other such NOC codes because these NOCs were removed from MI2 and MI3.
