Hi,

Are you in states or in India?

If you are in states then it's strange to get file transferred to native country in the middle of processing.

I moved back to India. May be that could be the reason for which they have transferred my file to NDVO.

Krish.

Engaging Employers on Immigration
This winter, CIC Deputy Minister Neil Yeates and Associate Deputy Minister Peter Sylvester will be holding roundtable meetings with Canadian employers to seek input that will help inform CIC’s economic immigration programs and policies. CIC’s outreach to employers is aimed at getting a better understanding of their challenges, particularly related to workforce planning, hiring and recruitment, and how they use the immigration system.

The discussions will focus on the following topics:

•Making the selection of high-skilled, labour-market ready workers more demand-driven;
•Modernizing how we manage immigration applications, to better control intake, prevent backlogs and improve processing times;
•Positioning the Temporary Foreign Worker Program to respond to Canada’s economic needs – complementing, not displacing local labour supply.
Supporting economic growth and competitiveness is a Government of Canada priority. As such, even in a time of global economic uncertainty, immigration is necessary for Canada’s long-term economic health and success.

CIC recognizes that our immigration system could be more attuned to meeting immediate and regional skills shortages while continuing to respond to longer term, national labour force needs. We look forward to input from employers and stakeholders.

The first roundtable meeting will be held on February 9, 2012, in Halifax, followed by others to be announced in due course.

hi seniors
i m pre june applicant and my ecase is coming as in process with actual processing date.......but the thing is that at that time i had 4.5 years of experience of job and after sending full docs to nd vo in july 2010,i had changed my job and had informed the vo by sending relieving letter,experience letter,joining report and copy of new appointment letter...but yesterday i realised that my new appointment letter which i had sent for the new job was for 1 year probation period ...although i m continuing same job......but i m confused whether before sending medicals vo people will ask for new appointment letter or renewed letter or it should be fine because i have got points already and i will get medicals straightway.......

Its absolutely fine because you had 4+ years experience at that time....and on the other hand, there is no problem if you were in probation in another job.

All the best!

... and now another twist.. I just got my Australia PR but don't want to stop my canadian PR application processing. Is my OZ PR going to impact my Canada PR? Should I inform CIC regarding this change? Can I get my file transferred to Australia from Buffalo?

Congrats Payal, OZ PR is not going to make any impact on your PR application for Canada, you can always write down an email to your visa office , if you wish to inform .

As far as transfered of file is concern it's not impossible but it's very rare and to the total discretion of the visa Office if they want to transfered or not

@payaji,

I am of the view that it should not have any consequential impact on ur canadian PR APPLICATION.Yes,any change in ur status has to be communincated to ur present visa office.Shifting/TRANSFER of file from one visa office to another should not be a problem,but u have to make a request to ur dealing Visa office supported by documentry proof of ur present residential status. It may, however,delay ur Canadian PR Process.
Others may also please share.
Good luck. God bless u.

One of my friend was thinking to apply under IT Project Manager in June 2010 under 0213 category. He prepared all the documnets but just at the same time rules got changed and IT was out of the 29 Occupations list. He was very sad and upset. However, he just thought to try under new 1122 category as "Project Manager" with emphasis on project managment experience in Sep 2010.

His application was accepted, his credit card got chaged in Dec 2010, he received his PER from CIO in Mar 2011. He received additional doc request in Nov 2011 and yesterday he received his medical request....total time till now is 1 Year and 5 months....By the way his office is London. He is very happy now that he applied under new rules and is now safe from huge backlog and wait period like all of us....

We are still waiting are in the same wait wait situation and even dont know for how long....

This is very useful information for people like us. Dont know if we the people who have applied under 0213 can now apply under 1122
+1 for this
