I got my GCMS report yesterday. looking at it looks nothing has been done on my file till now.. only fee columns were updated.

Assessments Section:
Eligibility: not started
Security : Not Started
Criminality : not started
Medical: Not Started

In notes section They have written all documents IELTS, Experience Letters,Marriage certificates etc seem Genuine

There is no BFD date in GCMS report I wonder when they work on it next time, does anyone know which section of GCMS report will indicate BFD date..?

Hi Shims,

If they found your documents genuine, then they must have started processing your application. How can they say that the documents are genuine if they have not verified the same? This is my view. What others say?

address appeared..........we need analyze any similarity in time lines of whom address disappeared and now appeared

After 13 days my address appear again.nothing new.CIC making fool us.

Hi....I am March 2010, applicant from NDVO, recd 2nd file number in June 2010 and In process since March 2011 with RBVO inside.

Can you explain what is GCMS and how does one apply for it, what are the charges etc...

i think in your case they have just first started going through the validity of all your documents. they havent really started assessing it. but at least you know what is going on with your papers. its better than not knowing...

Yeah thats true that visa officer worked on our file and he/ she checked verified IELTS and age , rest nothing has been done till nOw. I think it's a long way ahead. I strongly believe this address disappearance thing is related to visa office working on the file as the date mentioned on my GCMS is around the same time when my address disappeared .

Person who can order CAIPS Notes:
1. You can order if you are in Canada for free under privacy act
2. Any known person of yours who resides in Canada and is a citizen/PR under Access to information act for CAD $5
3. Various 3rd party do this for some fee starting $25 onwards

• If you are in Canada then you have to include consent of your wife
• If someone else is ordering then both PA and suppose need to sign consent
• If you use any agency then they have their own formats

I ordered my GCMS myself following is the format of consent letter which I prepared and used for wife

I, the undersigned <Your NAME>, born <D.O.B>, do hereby consent to the
disclosure and/or use of my personal information, located in my file # <Your File Number> in <Visa Office Name> solely for the purpose of: obtaining a copy of my CAIPS file.

Hereby, I authorize Citizenship and Immigration Canada to disclose my personal information to <Person Ordering CAIPS Notes > living presently in Canada at the following address

< Address of person in Canada who is ordering for you >


I understand that this consent and my signature allow ONLY the disclosure of MY personal information and that of my underage dependants at the date of this consent.
