My application has been submitted through my consultant on May 4th, 2010, so far I didn't receive any response about my file number, in this regards, I'm little bit worry.

What is the reason can be for this delay? due to huge rush or something else?

Aakash were u able to reach the CIC - what did they tell u?

Yes, i had contacted with them twice in last two days. On the first day, the agent told me that all i can do is wait. Then now today i called them back again and the lady agent directly informed me that 30 days update rule does not exist anymore. So, it would reject the application if the payment is not through. She also told me that my file is not yet opened.

Afterward she advised me to send a letter detailing my situation with my basic information since i dont have a client id. She mentioned that it is not a normal practice but it might work as the situation is not norm as well. She asked me to stamp 'URGENT' on the top of envelop. They might consider my case since its not opened yet.

Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping Allah will save me!!!

I just sent out a new FEE PAYMENT FORM to cio by FeD EX. It should reach there by 16th.

i could not find any related jobs in newzealand site but in australia site im finding system manager, system administrator similar to 0213

hi,,,,,same here, i have submitted mine through consultant. what will happen to us if it takes more than 120 days not getting any response? im am now worried more of what you said. may i ask who your consulant is?

Hi Namaste,

First of all, I'm sorry for your refusal.

Second, in NZ is almost impossible to emigrate without a job offer.
For Australia, you have several codes IT related on ANSCO list (schedule 3). Fist you have to have an skill assessment at ACS (Australian Computer Society), sit the IELTS (you have it) and after you have all the docs. you can apply. Will take about 18 months from the moment of your application to a visa - if minister of immigration is not changing anything. 2-3 years overall.

Hi guys,

From my understanding - there are several steps to the process :

Step 1 - they open the mails and check for completeness of the application (meaning all the areas in the document filled out and CC validity or cheque validity

Step 2 - they tabulate the number of points you have and if your NOC code is in the current list of 38 or 29( if you fulfil the criteria)

Step 3 - they send your CC or DD for encashment

Step 4 - they decide if they want you in their county (selection committee meeting as per Alizia's post)

Step 5 - they send you INITIAL ASSESSMENT (every body now calls it 1st AOR)

I don't have any concrete evidence on this information but from the Blogs/Forums that I read, I get this idea. That is the reason for some persons receiving their return application or rejection letter earlier than others.

So guys, until you get your 1st AOR, no one is 100% safe.

If someone else has any contradictions feel free to post your views.

may applicants hello( i am may 4). WOULD ANYONE KNOW what happens after 90 days without receiving anything. today is my 98 days of waiting from NS. Im really worried. My consultant said maybe the reason of delay is the new regulation. i hope so if thats the case. but alot of MAY thread is moving already. anybody knows the longest in any thread who waited for something from NS when they first started? is it safe to say im still ok since there is no rejection letter since they havent returned the application? I AM SO WORRIED. pls advise.
