OKso my wife has three degrees - B.Sc., M.Sc., and another Masters. While submitting my EE profile my wife's ECA was still not done so i mentioned her degrees in form but said that ECA evaluation was not done. As a result I didn't claim any points for my wife's education but I sill got the invite.

Now the ECA came through all her degrees were evaluated as Bachelors. No problems. But now while filling her education details I have the following question:

The form asks for Level of Education, then whether ECA was done and then what Level is shown on the ECA report.
Now do I select the level of education as masters (for Indian masters degree) and level shown on ECA as bachelor's
OR
should I select the level of education as bachelor's (for Indian masters degree) and level shown on ECA as bachelor's

Thanks in advance for your time & help !

if the Indian masters has been evaluated as bachelors then you have to select bachelors

thanks xpressentry.

below the ratings, there is good and poor options. click on good :D

@xpressentry: already done.

Also, I got another question - While submitting the application in the pool, since we were still waiting for my wife's ECA evaluation, I didn't claim any points for her education and answered NO to the question - If <My Wife's Name> has had a ECA evaluation in the last 5 years.

Now since getting the invite, she has had her ECA report and I am changing the answer to the same question as YES and adding her ECA details to Study and Languages section. Would this amount to misrepresentation OR I am just overthinking? :-\

You can change it, just make sure that the score is still above the cut-off for the invitation round. I know your score will increase only but just mentioning it.

you can change it. CIC doesnt mind if the score increases but they will reject if it decreases to below the cut off

thanks @xpressentry & @Maverick28. I am also thinking of mentioning it in the LOE. Does anyone think I should refrain from doing so?

@xpressentry & @Maverick28: Do you find the following LOE good enough? Should I change it anywhere?

Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Change of Situation in Studies and List of Documents Attached

I, <PA Name>, am the primary applicant, and my wife <Wife Name> is also included in this PR application as the spouse. She completed her ECA evaluation after the Invitation to Apply was issued to us on February 8th 2017. To reflect this change in situation, I have updated her Study and Languages section by
1. Adding the ECA information for each degree - Date of issue, ECA number, and the Level of Education mentioned in the evaluation.
2. Changing the Level of Education for Master of Science & Master of Fashion Management degrees from Master’s to Bachelor’s Degree. This was done to be in accordance with the ECA evaluation, which found both these degrees to be the Canadian equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree.
3. Correcting the start & finish date for Master of Fashion Management degree from August 2008 to July 2008 and from July 2010 to May 2010 respectively.
Since she didn’t have an ECA evaluation when the ITA was issued, no points were awarded for her education, and hopefully making these changes should only increase our points. Also, please find enclosed the following documents in this PDF:
1. ECA Evaluation (pages 2 & 3)
2. Bachelor of Science Degree (page 4)
3. Master of Science Degree (page 5)
4. Master of Fashion Management Degree (page 6)
5. Transcripts for Bachelor of Science (pages 7 & 8)
6. Transcripts for Master of Science (pages 9, 10, 11 & 12)
7. Transcripts for Fashion Management (pages 13 onwards)

Thank you for your co-operation.
Yours Sincerely,
<PA Name>

Sounds good to me

Another option...your LOE looks great though.

You can chose to not change your answer since you are not claiming points for that. Just write in LOE that u are not claiming points therefore you chose not to submit ECA report...in this way u are being honest and also removing an unnecessary step (of verification)....just submit the original documents without ECA.

My answer is based on assumption that u are not claiming any points on her education.
