Hey,
I am a refugee in Canada and my fiance is in Lebanon ( my home country).
Since I am not able to come back to my country to make a big wedding with all my family, I am obligated to make a simple wedding in a country where we are going to get married in Turkey. But my parents do not work and I can't afford spending on the wedding and their plane ticket and their accommodation, and also my fiance can't do that for his parents. So I am really scared if we are going to make a wedding with only a couple of friends or alone. will it be a red flag for us? And can anybody help me finding out what to do?

Is this an arranged marriage or do you have previous documentation of dating this girl? You can explain that your family is unable to travel for financial reasons. The issue becomes if you don't have a long history of the relationship and meeting in person there is not a ton of proof that it is a genuine relationship so ofter IRCC relies on seeing a traditional wedding as proof of a genuine relationship. You can only provide what you can provide if it is not financially feasible.

No it's not an arranged marriage we really do love each other so much and we can't wait to reunite. And yes we do have a lot of documentations ( Btw he is a boy and I am the girl :P ) we are in a 3 years and 1 month relationship. We are planning to make like a big wedding or celebration when I get my citizenship so I can come back to Lebanon. In Turkey I am planning to wear white and have a small honeymoon, but I am afraid that it is not going to be enough.

You should look into getting your parents & other family members to write letters documenting that your relationship is genuine and that they support you two - it will help the case!

If you have documentation before you left of your relationship that will be very helpful. You will also have to show your ability to support him when he comes to Canada without government assistance. It sounds like your finances are quite tight so you should make sure to prioritize working and saving.

Well actually I started full time job and I am getting paid well now but we are 5 members in my family I can't spen on all 5 accomodations and flights because the flight will at least cost 1300 cad each person so that's why I said that I can't afford to spend on my family

Due to humanitarian reasons to not return to your first country there should be no issue. Just explain you dont feel safe there and so on.. good luck. The more info you give the easier it will be
