As i mentioned i've got 10 yrs of experience in Advertising and worked in 5 different companies, at different levels.

do i need to tweak the job responsibilities for each company
or can i make it same across all the companies which is close to 85% of the JD given in the CIC ?? Any sample formats to know the difference from one company to other

Hi , if your job responsibility matches with the ones given by CIC, you do not need to tweak it. I have sent mine which matched almost 65% with CIC and got PER.

best of luck!

Dear Members,

I have a question I am from Pakistan, I want to apply for this NOC but I am confused I have a BS Textile Technology degree with is a 4 years degree but I have 2.5 years of experience in marketing, but I don't have a relevant degree in marketing am I eligible to apply or not. Please help.

yes you are eligible to apply. As long as your experience matches the description under NOC 1123 your academic experience is not relevant to claim points for job experience. Your trainig will be considered to claim points under education though.

Hi I am finishing up my application but I am still unsure if I should apply under 1123 or 0124.

My degree is in Business with a major in marketing - i have about 7 years experience in marketing - my current job is online marketing manager - which seems to be a hybrid between the two.

0124 manager, e business I guess sounds the most appropriate from my title, but i think the job described in 1123 matches it better.

Also on that question I am also confused on this as the instructions on the form tell you to list all your occupations within the 10 years preceding the date of your application. HOWEVER the Instruction Guide says "list only occupations that fall in Skill type 0, Skill Levels A or B"

Which instruction do I follow?

Guys!!!

CAP updates as of Nov 7th 2014:

NOC 2174: 1000 (full)
NOC 1112: 1000 (full)
NOC 1123 : 278

This means that those of you who haven't sent applications still have a chance to apply under 1123!!

Hi, I have a similar situation. 10 years in the same company, but in different countries and levels.

I took my main duties for each job and matched NOC description. I ended up having 3 out of 5 the same for each listed position, and in one case even 4.

Still no news from CIC so I can't tell you was it a good decision or not. :-) But I hope it helps.

Guys,

This is your chance as this NOC is only 278,

I've applied under this NOC as I've 3 years experience in Advertising, and I've got the 1st Acknowledgment (AOR) from an hour.

Hurry up guys

Sit back and stay positive for 3 months. It has been observed by senior forum members and elsewhere that processing has caught pace.

Good luck to u.

Hi,

Hopefully your file (NOC 1123 ; file received in first week Nov'14) should get opened for completeness check latest by mid Jan'15 and you should get CC charged by first week Feb'15. Also, hope that you are going to be well within the cap for this NOC.

Regards,

Hi,
Thanks!

What is your opinion/view on cap filling date for NOC 1123? or Can an aspirant still be within the cap, if the application reaches on 31st,Dec'14 for this NOC? Any comments please...

Regards,

Based on the years of observations by some senior members of this forum, if the applications were 650 then we would have been in a spot of bother. So my guess is that next month would be a month of rush but even Dec applicants would have a fair chance.

Purely my view based on my readings.

Cheers :)

Hi there guys,
Just been reading through this forum. It's a great community and excellent source of information. There is a huge amount of information to get through and I often feel quite bewildered by the prospect of putting together an application and if I'm likely at all to succeed. So here goes, I'd really appreciate anyone's advice. I am going to contact a visa expert to get a some professional advice also.

I'm a British National.
31 Years of Age.
I have a BSc degree in Physiology from Manchester University.
I have 4-years full-time experience now as a Marketing Manager for a Design & Manufacturer of luxury high quality products which we export to countries across the globe including Canada and the USA.

Do I qualify?
I think I have at least 67 Points?
When should I submit my application?

Thank you in advance for your advice.
