I called cic last week. They said background check is completed and now my file is waiting for final review by the officer. What is meant by final review? How long does it take? I have cleared eligibility, security, criminality and medical.

After final review you will get PPR.

Can you tell how you know security is pass? Because cic never tell about security. Thanks

Hi there are many feb applicants whose background check is done but still waiting for ppr .....may b their files are in a que to be reviewed by visa officer....

Called agent two weeks ago and was told file still in Sydney.

No cic waived my wife's medical reassessment because she is already in canada i had done last week mine..

Hello guys!

I just want to share an experience here, You must be seeing a lot of my frustration and post in this forum especially my very long waiting time with our FBI clearance. So finally, I decided to email them and follow up after 16 weeks( I got the idea from 1 thread in this forum). So this is what i received:



Good Afternoon,

According to our records, the request was insufficient due to invalid payment. The FBI in the US can not accept money order from Canada.
The FBI will need you to submit a new payment for $18. Below is the link to the credit card payment form. Please fill this form out, sign it and fax to 304-625-9792 or scan the form and email to this email address.

Our records show the money order was returned to you 3/26/2015. We do not know if the payment is correct until it is processed. After the payment is reject, we send a letter stating a new payment will be required. We have a customer service line, which includes this email address, so customer can call and check status or ask questions about the process. Feel free to use this service while your request is in the process.





I asked them how come I never received a letter or any money back if its insufficient. How come I never received any notice since the very first day they received any insufficiency in the payment. And if I didnt email them, I would be waiting for stupid FBI result for nothing.
And if that is the case that they cant process mine, how come my husband is also waiting for 17 weeks. He sent his own application from his home country. So does it mean that his fee is also insufficient...that is really real bull*censored word* (sorry for my word)
There's something fishy goin on and i feel so much disappointed from an agency who is solving big serious cases in the United States.

So if any of you guys were asked for FBI clearance, just make sure to follow up right away to avoid this problems.
I hope my experience can give a lil idea to some people in this forum who is also on the same case like mine.. It looks like my patience is really being tested in this waiting game. Im just praying that God will give me strenght continously.

What I ur timeline.
R u single or dependents case. because this is what they told me too.. they ask for medicals again for my wife nd daughter..
I call them last Tuesday they said everything is done new medicals r updated too. Now they said usually Ainp cases 17months but ur processing is bit fast.. may be u will be contacted soon by chic.
