In Spousal sponsorship, why they ask for resume ? is it for everyone.
no, not for everyone
probably because there are too many gaps in the form

Gaps as in ?
While applying for Spousal Sponsorship Application, my agent suggested to submit resume as well, so did. There were no gaps in forms but they said dates are not much clear in the resume so they want resume again. Since, resume is not mandatory document, so kind of took it lightly and submitted without double checking and due diligence. But IRCC wanted to see any period for which my spouse was unemployed, which was weird for me too. As in resume we don't list any period for unemployed. So, really it was surprising for me as well.

so the resume submitted was for you (sponsor) or your spouse (PA)? and your agent suggest it to be uploaded for what purpose/under what section of the checklist?
i'm trying to understand why he suggested so because we should never submit anything that they don't ask for (unless it's in substitute for something they ask for)

Resume was submitted for Principal Applicant. It was uploaded to support PA background information. It was not substitute to anything rather an additional information.

This is really strange, because resume is not a actual proof other than employment records and its a family sponsorship, not a job immigration stuff. Weird. Though it might back up but its like way over sharing.

In your case Sponsor is PR or Citizen ? Sorry for asking direct question.
