March 2024- Citizenship Application

We are still waiting for the invitation letter; we are unsure if it's virtual or in-person. The date indicated in the tracker is 20 Aug. My question is, some people got the certificate (citizenship) right away to download it, while others had to wait for some days. Two applicants are traveling out of the country on 30 Aug; their tickets have already been purchased. We have to apply for a one-day passport, provided we get the certificate on the day of the oath. Confused........, should we request IRCC to give us another date or work under the assumption that we will get the certificate the same day of oath? And will apply for a passport the very next day.

Kindly share your experiences. Thanks.

It seems my partners application from March 22 AOR to getting the oath date (july 30 virtual) was exactly 4.5 months living here in Toronto. Because they became PR in Jan 2022, there was no finger prints needed (LPP completed) and assume they look at the PR information and inputs needed since it was recent hence a fast processing time from Mississauga office. But then again could be many other variables. I was expecting to wait for a year.

yes. it's either your processing offices still doing "final checks" or you just have to wait till they schedule for oath. that was what i was told when i called and was also told you are still within processing time so you are good.... so we just have to wait.. or i guess submit webforms like others.

Your timeline is exactly like mine. My office is Montreal. LPP was completed on the 26th of June. App was sent on the 16th of March, AOR 20th of March, Test taken on the 19th of April. I am still waiting for Oath until now.
