Are you guys finding it hard to "wait"? I thought it would be very difficult and the days would drag on, but I just realized that it has been 1+ month since I submitted my application and this month has flown by very quickly for me . I cannot believe it has already been a month . Hopefully they won't make me wait years but I think 6 months will go by quite quickly.

Maybe the days are going by quickly for me because I have some other goals that I want to accomplish before I move to Canada, such as saving up for a house (I don't want to rent). Also, because I am self employed I want to finish this year, and all the associated financial reporting requirements for my company in my home country this year. I don't want to have to pay accountants in two different countries to prepare financial reports . So realistically I won't be able to move to Canada until January because of those two reasons (saving up + company reporting).

So, for those of you who are finding it hard to wait maybe it is a good idea to establish some other goals that you can focus on to get your mind away from the PR processing chaos . And, the goals don't have to be Canada related, I think any goal would help you re-focus. Something like "loose weight" or "spend more time with family" would help I think. Anyway.... just my 2 cents

This is a very good point!

I won't lie, the first month was the hardest for me, checking multiple times everyday, but then after everything got marked as completed I stopped checking so often. I guess what I was mostly worried about is maybe I sent something wrong or something else when I first applied, and my worries became worse when I saw everyone in the group had passed R10 except for me. However, everything turned out ok. All I have to do is wait for the portal email now.

The audacity of some of the people in this thread though - It's been 1 calendar month since submitting their applications and they're worried it's not moving fast enough? Plenty of people back in October and November that haven't seen any movement in 3 to 4 months lol.

The audacity of some of the people in this thread though - It's been 1 calendar month since submitting their applications and they're worried it's not moving fast enough? Plenty of people back in October and November that haven't seen any movement in 3 to 4 months lol.

Well we have seen PPRs ranging between as soon as 20 days and as long as 6 months or in some cases even a year. So doesn’t matter wether it’s one calender month or just few days.
Moreover, consider it as people’s curosity with what’s happening with their application and the anxiety of ‘what ifs’. What if i send the wrong document or something might be missing etc

so please don’t argue on how can someone be anxious with just one month wait. Candidate has the right to be curious about his/her application.

Settling into Canada (especially if you a FSW-O) is such an underrated pain, which often gets overshadowed by PPR/Portal email anxiety. I am seeing folks who had left their jobs 4-5 months in advance of moving to Canada now suddenly scrambling to find bare minimum affordable accommodations. It is also sad that most users here would churn post landing and Settlement part of this forum will continue to have so little info on it.

There are application packages on the IRCC website that specifically walk you through and state what documents are required to be uploaded to their application. There are also immigration consultants and lawyers who can assist too. If they're missing documents after they submit, then that's really their own fault.

When I opened my account, it it showing "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes."

but today morinig it was showing Medical passed. why did it change back to above status?

Any idea?
