Based on the google sheet, it appears that Scarborough applicants for the most part have not received updates since. Other processing centres such as Vancouver are moving at much faster speeds

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has any guidance on travelling (flying) in between oath ceremony and receiving a Canadian passport if we have to cut up PR cards? Any one know anyone with experience on the wait times, or know a good forum to check out? I believe we can travel across the land boarder with the Oath certificate. I need to do some work travel over the next few months.

I still have some waiting to go, but my timeline is below, hoping for some movement soon on language/physical presence/prohibitions

Office: Vancouver
App type: Single, Online
Physical Days: 1261
Sent: March 23th 2022
AOR: April 20th 2022
BG Complete: Oct 28th
Test invite Nov 14th (date range Nov 21-Dec 12)
Passed test: Nov 25th
Tracker updated Dec 2nd
GU: Dec 16th (reset after glitch)
Language/physical presence/ prohibitions: In progress
Ceremony: Not started

Hello everyone,
Just got an email today for online interview scheduled on March 3rd.

any idea what to expect in the interview and how long will oath invitation take after interview?

My timeline is -
AOR - March 16 (single, online, Calgary)
FP and test request - Nov 14
FP done - Nov 15
Test done - Dec 3
BG check and test showing completed in tracker - Dec 9.
Passport photos asked & send - Dec 15
Online Interview email - today
Most probably they will verify your travel history.

This is so annoying. And given the slow pace of movement, I am beginning to have a bad feeling about this. The 24 month timeline is there for a reason, and I have a feeling I will find out exactly why the average is 24 months.
You have a right to be upset, but you are not alone. Think positive and stay positive. You will have your test soon and the rest might go a bit faster from there. Our time will come. Have faith and trust in the system. Yes, I know it is not perfect. :)

I really think this is not good advice at this time. In these cases, it's the hope that kills. Better to not hope than to think that the test is coming soon and oath will follow. At least that way one isn't disappointed. Might as well just adjust expectations that IRCC will get my file done by this time in 2024. That will still beat the average by 2 months :s
