Hi, I just called IRCC and they told me they are working on application on after 17th Jan. I am an April applicant but just posting here because 3 people got AoR so that's great. Seems like agents doesn't have any up to date information. Hopefully all March and April applicants receive AOR soon.

I didn’t get an actual letter but I was able to link account to ecas and gckey on August 16th and account shows 46% done and yesterday I got biometrics request.

i did not receive aor but I was able to link it and it was processing and it showed application number. My lawyer said some people they were skipping aors cuz of pandemic. My application was received March 2nd outland to Sydney

We have a representative so it was our lawyer who received it

I was able to call IRCC and the agent was able to provide me with the Temporary File Number starting with X. My application was received on 21-March-2020. It is a big sigh of relief that it has not been lost.
She did mention next step would be to receive AOR1 and file number will remain the same minus the X.
As per the agent- the documents were complete and hence given the temp file number. If not it would have beenreturned (this contradicts what IRCC mentioned that they will not return any file for missing documents).

Shortcut to reach an agent will be 1888-242-211 and 2-1-0.

Thanks for this information. I didn't know this about the temporary number and the fact of not having one brings the possibility of return of the application no matter covid. I actually can't call, I can just have faith to have one there. Thanks for your wishes

I used 2 things I did it twice to see if it would work and it did

1st I used uci from visit visa because the uci will never change
And 2nd I used the receipt number from the payment for sponsorship

Just one weird question. Are there 10 digits in your application number?

She did say, but again I think she might be wrong as IRCC states due to Covid no applications would be returned for missing documents.
