Thanks for this information. I didn't know this about the temporary number and the fact of not having one brings the possibility of return of the application no matter covid. I actually can't call, I can just have faith to have one there. Thanks for your wishes ;)
Honestly, don’t worry about getting your application returned.
I want to say this again- Maybe the agent that commented was not aware of the IRCC statement of “No application will be returned due to missing documents”.
I know the feeling of thinking that the application might be lost or on way back- Hope is there. I think that’s why they have started opening all the packages and giving temporary numbers.

My MP is going to get a status update for me tomorrow. I suspect they might have a few requests from various ppl for the same thing.

I ordered 1st gcms note in first week june , i got it on 22nd june.
After that i ordered 2nd Gcms note august 1st. i got back today. there is no chnages. its look like they were sent me back the previous one ( look like copy and paste).

last update was done in march 09, 2020. after that there is no new update entry in GCMS note.

this is very frustrating. hopefully everyone get some good news.

I used 2 things I did it twice to see if it would work and it did

1st I used uci from visit visa because the uci will never change
And 2nd I used the receipt number from the payment for sponsorship
But there is no option for Receipt of Payment number?? That category I could not find it.

My application was received 25th March but I got the same email reply to my query today:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is not available in the system yet.

However, rest assured that this situation is normal since the responsible office is currently processing applications received before February 12, 2020.

Furthermore, due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

There is system maintenance every week on the same day.
Didn't know etherway I suspect they are gonna be moving faster I know before they had the job postings to improve the I'mmgreation system (and modernize processing) and haven't I suspect seen the full benefits of it yet
