Congrats ! Where did u give ur biometricsTo update my profile with everyone:
Invitation- Feb 19
AOR- March 26 (submitted upfront medical exam doc with web pages that all clients are closed and an LOE, CIC ceased all upfront medical exam back to time)
Make up an upfront medical exam when it re-opened in May (can't remember exactly what date it is)
Medical exam passed - May 27
BIL- May 27
Bio Collected - June 1
On July 6, I got an email from Hamilton office stating that my profile in under the finalization stage and asked me if I'm inland or not and if I'm inland, what is my original and last entry date with the port of entry. I was outside of Canada but already booked my flight back. So I emailed back my itinerary and the office said they would contact me later. I returned to Canada on July 17th, and immediately send out the email to the office saying I'm inland now with data of entry with the port.
Just got the CoPR this morning (July 20), asking me to mail the photo and CoPR to the office so that they can make and deliver the PR card to me. The processing speed really surprises me.
I hope this may help people who are still in process.
You passed eligibility and security. My Aor is 17 march.i got GU last week.then i called an agent , he said thisI received a GU on my profile , earlier status was SUBMITTED, now it shows "APPLICATION/PROFILE UPDATE" and then when i saw again it shows SUBMITTED.
IS this what is called as Ghost Update ???
If yes what would i have passed/progressed by now, My AOR is 20th March, and Medical passed, Yet to give my biometrics, CEC Inland applicant.
Could some one tell me what is this GU on at this stage.
If I may ask, did you give your bio when you were out of Canada?Hi all,
Just wanted to update this thread because I know some of you were in a similar boat as me.
When I sent a webform late June, I received a response July 3rd with the following:
They didn't mention eligibility at all, so I wasn't sure if I passed or if this meant something was wrong with it. I raised another webform last week and received a response today -
- The background verifications are in process.
- The security background verification has not been initiated.
- The criminal background verification is in process.
In between my two web forms, I did see a ghost update in my account (no email, but when I checked my account it said updated and there was no update.
- The application is still in process.
- The responsible office reviewed the application and documents submitted and determined that you meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which you have applied.
- The criminal background verification is in process.
AOR Mar 31st, CEC Inland
if I may ask, you booked your bio while outside of Canada, right? I mean where you travelled to. Please help as I’m in the same boat . I recently traveled to the Uk and don’t know if I should go ahead with bio over here.To update my profile with everyone:

Were you able to give biometrics, if not then I have heard that they don’t even start security if someone haven’t provided them with biometrics...You passed eligibility and security. My Aor is 17 march.i got GU last week.then i called an agent , he said this
You are right, I booked the bio collection while I was outside of Canada, or in China. From my experience, CIC counts it and will process your profile once you did your bio collection. If I may ask, did you give your bio when you were out of Canada?

And some VACs are open already, yet for inside Canada they give no update. They have opened up everything (malls, shops, parks, restaurants) but their office. It is so frustrating.Another week and no Biometric centres being opened, no action yet from IRCC and making people wait unnecessary for eligibility docs. Many of us are still wondering what about other checks in place. At later stage they may even take advantage of refusing anyone for sake of one missing information. I am surprised how this will be working moving forward.
They don't even update the processing timelines from 6 to 16 months or 12 months. As of now as well it shows up 6 months ?
Yes, still no news. I check almost every day. Still very few Service Canada centres open since phase 1 of their reopening around July 8th ... they must have very good/forceful union, as other essential services have been open throughout the pandemic. But they did have a huge number of annual visits across Service Canada. At least for most Canadians, they’ve done eService so expect their employees have still been busy. And some VACs are open already, yet for inside Canada they give no update.
