Finally just got a call for 28th October in Brampton!
If you’re already living in Canada: in-person landing appointments cancelledwell, as far as I know, COPR is only after booking the Landing inside Canada, which from what I've heard is a nightmare to find spots available, and now with COVID, being that probably the only option, it should be even worse!
IMPORTANT QUESTION: I've always knew, from friends of mine, that after application approval but before COPR, we needed to do the "Landing", by exiting the country OR booking internally on a very TOUGH schedule... Has that step been exempted during these times??My AOR is March 28th
I am exempt from Bio and they were updated Oct 9th. I spoke to guy at IRCC today and he said my application is approved but not finalised and it came take up to a month to receive COPR yet. Has anyone had similar experience to this? And did it take a month to receive COPR? Hopefully a month is worst case scenario!
if you are in canada already you get direct email of copr and get pr cards directly!IMPORTANT QUESTION: I've always knew, from friends of mine, that after application approval but before COPR, we needed to do the "Landing", by exiting the country OR booking internally on a very TOUGH schedule... How fair is it too take biometric of recent applicants not February and March
I have not heard about anyone recent, what I've seen is people who were exempted from biometrics collection getting their COPR even though their AOR is from June, or even July...
Have you?
In that case March AOR people should also receive COPR but I dont see that case.My best guess is that IRCC was using previous biometrics (from study permits, work permits etc) on biometrics exempt people from the beginning, therefore when the exemption came in IRCC had all the info need for security and background check to finalize the application.
I'm seeing people with April AOR getting COPR (in land applicants) whom are biometrics exempt.
No cos every application is different and AOR isn’t a reliable gauge for expected decision/ COPR. There are folks from 2019 still waiting on decisions. In that case March AOR people should also receive COPR but I dont see that case.
