Hi guys, I’m just wondering if it’s normal to not receive an AOR2 but received request for Addl Docs? What does that mean? Thanks is advance. :)
Additional docs can be requested anytime during the process. if you didn't get AOR 2 yet or see a second line in PA ecas side saying "we started processing your application xxx xxx" then your application is still in Syndey.

From what I've noticed on the forum, it's quite common to not receive an AOR2 email. When they have received your application at the VO, the PA will get a line saying "We have started processing your application on XXXX" on ECAS, but that's about it. Did they tell you that your application has been transferred to a VO already? As glen1990 just mentioned above, they can also request additional docs while you're still at the case processing center.

Ow ow ow, sorry. Just rechecked, we did receive an email that our application has been forwarded to CPC-M. But our ECAS doesnt show “we have started processing...”

So does that email meant AOR2 already? I’m sorry for the confusion and all my queries ~.~

It would certainly imply that they've received your application and are looking over it! Honestly not sure if it constitutes AOR2 or not. But definitely means there's something about your application they're a little unsure on and want you to help clarify it. Hopefully the additional docs are something straightforward for you to supply and they'll continue moving the process forward.

It was Proof of Communication. What we passed the first time was in mixed language so they wanted it all in English. We passed it last June 3... 36 days of waiting and it’s nerve racking x.x

Btw thank you all for the response! :)

Oh okay, well then hopefully they'll be satisfied with that! I know, I got an additional doc request when our application was still at Sydney and it took nearly 2 months for anything to happen. So frustrating since all you can do is just wait and see. But it sounds like you gave them what they were looking for, so I hope you get good news shortly.

Hi all,
We are very thankful to the creater of this forum. :)

I have few concerns, about the processing time.

We applied as out-bound spouse application. As he reside in Australia. We recieved that they recieved our application in March,2019.

After he completed the biometrics and medical which was successfully passed we were informed he needed police report from Sri-lanka since at the age of 18 he was in Sri lanka and we were given time until June 29th,2019 to submit the document. Which we did submit it online in May,2019. We haven't heard anything back since then.

Has anyone being in the same situation as us ? if so, how long did it take them to transfer the application to the visa office? or hear back from them.

Right now it looks like it takes something like 2 months. We send some additional docs at the end of April, I got an email over a week later confirming they'd been received and were being forwarded to the right office. But it took until the end of June for things to get moving again.

Thank you Phaeo.

We also got an a week after we submitted the additional documents indicating that they have forwarded the document to the right office.

Were you also give a date end of June? And did you here back once the deadline was passed? Or before that

We got the request on 26th April (and I submitted the docs on the same day), and our deadline was 26th May. Husband got a request to submit biometrics fee on 30th April. We each got an email confirmation about a week after we sent off our respective docs. Then we heard nothing about our application until he got the biometrics request on 21st June, and then SA, medical, and transfer to VO all happened really soon after that. So it looks like it really did take them nearly 2 months to go over the docs and update their decisions about us.

Is that so.. I guess its a matter of waiting.. cause he did his biometrics and medcial prior to the email they requested for additional document.

Ugh yeah, unfortunately the only thing you can do it wait and see what happens. I understand your frustration, I was getting increasingly anxious the longer we didn't hear anything. Fingers crossed you get some movement on your application soon.

Very frustrating :( . Thank you.

One more question how many months did it take for you get a decision of IRCC for your spouse?
