Hi all :)

Quick question. My wife (PA) has had to visit another country to write an exam. Do we need to update this with IRCC? I was wondering as it may effect the background check etc.

If she's there for 6 months or more, then a police certificate is required. Otherwise I don't think it will affect a background check.

what's SA?
Sa stands for sponsor approval... once ircc check sponsors eligibility and if ones meet the requirements then they receive email and also on ecas under sponsorship it will be decision made .

Hello! Is it normal that ECAS is not up to date. We had our medical passed on June 25th but it only reflected on GCKEY. I am under the impression that ECAS is much reliable than GCKEY that's why I'm worried a bit. Thank you in advance for the response

It's very common for ECAS to be slow to update, but as I understand it whether or not the medical passed is only ever shown in GCKey. So if you see on there that you passed, you can be confident everything went smoothly!

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have an idea of what month AVO is processing right now ? Wanna be sure I’m on the right track

Application received: March 28, 2019
AOR 1 & Biometrics request letter: May 17, 2019
Sponsorship Approval: May 21,2019
Biometrics done and updated on GCKey: 3rd June 2019

Update on ECAS shows: we started processing your application for permanent residence on 24th June 2019

I checked My GCKEY account and it shows “we are reviewing whether you met the eligibility requirements”

Anyone with similar update? And what does eligibility requirements mean?
