since 18 April we can't see any activity :-(

We got Bio request and request to pay Permanent residence fee just before 6pm today we can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Now we know our application won't be sent back and we are slowly moving forward.

Long way to go but we are definitely feeling a weight off our shoulders!

Awesome news! Hope more of us hear back this week

yeah you are right . But I think if you see most asian weddings happen in nov , dec or jan so everyone apply for sponsership in march or april hence they get slow in these months.
Yeahhhhhh very true. ... realistic analysis. ....
God help all of us

Good morning everyone, and a great morning for us indeed!!!

As I mentioned last night we got BioRequest and also request to pay for Permanent Resident fee, this morning we woke up and we had the SA approval email.

We are super happy right now and although it's still in the early phase we are just relived to be getting this part over with!!!

Wishing everyone the best of luck!!!!

Hah, so when our application got returned last month, my husband called to complain, sent an e-mail complaint and added the same letter of complaint to the application package that we then sent back to Sydney. And today he got an email response to the email complaint with an apology and that they referred our complaint to someone who will investigate what had happened. Curious to see what will happen in the future...

I tried the automated IRCC phone service. It worked!! It says they are doing my husbands background check...It was tricky cause at the last option they say press only to hear the status for inland sponsorship but I pressed the inland option and it gave me the updates for my husbands file.

This call was inside Canada and I had to use my husbands birth year as he is the applicant for permanent resident.

Did they provide a reason why they returned your application ?

Hi everyone,

It has been 36 days since our application was received:
App sent: March 15
App received: March 19
AOR: ??

We have yet to receive any emails with the AOR (not in PA or sponsor emails) and have had no luck logging into ECAS...

I tried calling IRCC but it wouldn't give me an option because I do not have an application number, and when I tried an agent I got disconnected.

We are starting to get really worried, as it seems things are moving along for people and we haven't heard a thing...
I figured if it was going to be returned we would receive an email telling us that... so the radio silence seems strange.

Appreciate any advice :).

PS info: Canadian wife sponsoring American husband, no dependents (Outland application)

36 days is nothing - it can take up to 3 months to receive AOR. Ignore other peoples timelines, they have no bearing or effect on your own. You typically won't get notification if the app is being sent back (unless you call and an agent is able to tell you)

Hey, I'm from the Jan group but thought I comment. Give it about 2 months from when they received, so worry when its mid-May. You cannot access ECAS or the automated system because more than likely they did not get to your app yet. You can access ECAS with a receipt number you send in with your app.

They claimed that we supposedly didn't attach my police check. But we did and it was valid and was the right one.

First of all don’t loose hope. You are all good. Try calling IRCC and speak with an agent. This is how I have got my file number. I received no AOR anywhere ever. They have no idea why. They told me to wait for 3 months to get AOR email. It’s useless now since I already have file number and UCI number from that agent. I bet you probably have same agent processing your file who hate to send AOR emails.
