since u r a PR not a canadian citizen a trip of 2 or 3 weeks is fine but dont say any longer thereHey Everyone,
I had a question and would appreciate if someone can share their experiences/ suggestion. I am Canadian Permanent resident (currently residing in Canada),I have made an Outland sponsorship application for my wife living in India. I was wondering if I can make a short visit for 2-3 weeks to India while my application is in progress.Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

Agreed -- as a permanent resident you can leave but you should keep your trip brief (2-3 weeks max). This is because permanent residents have to be currently living in Canada in order to sponsor (unlike citizens), so you want to make very clear if you leave that it is purely for a short holiday and avoid any impression you could also be living abroad or splitting your time.since u r a PR not a canadian citizen a trip of 2 or 3 weeks is fine but dont say any longer there

My husband's GCKey had said "we have started your background check" since he linked it. From what I've read around the forum, they seem to be starting the background check before the application is even sent off to the VO these days. Hopefully means a faster process for us!Hello guys ...
I have just used automated IRCC phone call .
And at the end it says we started your background check . What it does mean . Do u get any sort of email or an update regarding that. ?
Thanks
