Sent application - February 27th
Received - 4th March
I forgot to pay the Biometric fees when I sent the application since I used old forms
got email from CIC to pay Biometric Fees - April 9, 2019 and I paid the fee same day
AOR - April 17, 2019
SA - 29th April
BIO FEE Instruction - May 7th
My wife has gone through the Fingerprinting and photo taking back home in india on 2019-05-11 but ever since then I haven't heard anything back from CIC. When I use the online application tracker it just says in progress. I am not sure why is it taking so long for them to send medical request. I am concerned can someone help or having the same issue. I am concerned should I be calling them or should I be patient. It's a retard slow
process
Yes its slow but refrain from adding offensive words.

I'm in the same situation (as in, no SA). We got AOR 10th April, and even got the request to pay for the biometrics on April 30, but no SA yet. They wanted to see some of my paystubs so I'm guessing there's some confusion about my employment on their end (though I don't know why or how). I'm pretty sure they won't know that your employment status has changed unless you notify them. I would also be surprised if being on EI counted against you, since it doesn't count as social assistance. I called last week too, and all they could tell me was that everything looked fine and we'd complied with all requests to date. Think all we can do for now is wait :/
Thanks foe the reply. all I can do is wait. Good luck with your application.

If you look at the 2019 spreadsheet, it's all Mississauga applicants that have received decisions since January (haven't checked since last week so this could have changed).

It could be a few months before the Visa offices abroad give us March applicants a decision considering January applicants haven't received any decisions from their VOs.

I agree, I think most people who are not from India should expect a much slower process. I am expecting mine, (waiting on transfer to VO) to have a DM in roughly 2 months, maybe 3. People outside of India should not compare with Indian applicants.

what I don't get is, if from what I'm reading that background checks and security takes so long hence why applicants are stuck in limbo, how are these applicants getting done sooooo fast if they are going through the same security screenings/procedures that apparently take the most time to complete in the whole process. seems odd, smells fishy IMO. The fast processing times for these applicants will obviously make up the 80% of applications processed in 12 months to make things look pretty.

Got our PPR today so they can send a CoPR. I'm guessing this means Decision Made, but am wondering if that's not technically true? Not seeing that as an update on the GCKey :)

that's the most technical it's going to get. PPR is pretty official. all the portals are not always updated. What does ecas say under PA..Congrats and if you don't mind sharing your full timeline.thanks
